Things like that and the Dark urge for me make me want to reserve judgment on the tones they are able to pull off effectively.
I'd still expect it to not be the most faithful conversion, they'd likely want to change some things up to better lean into their strengths, and to better adapt the adventure into a videogame.
That said I honestly don't see this happening. At best we'll get some DLC or expanded options for BG3. Would love to be wrong though.
This is why modding and a DM mode would be so key.

Exactly, also its really not that combat heavy a setting, relying on foreshadowing and horror. Won't play well.
Anyhow, I doubt they would adopt an existing setting, likely just homebrew another adventure.
Personally I'd love to see Larian work with Paizo and make a Pathfinder game.
I can totally get behind this. They will only get better and better at it.
