I like the standard guardian. I would have picked a male guardian but male drow are weak and my Drow priestess don't associate with or fantasize about weak males except if it is part of her dismemberment fantasies due to being the dark urge... She will fantasize about weak and puny Gale's arm 100%

Well, two thoughts:

1. You *can* create your perfect partner, but you don’t have to.

2. You only create the perfect shell, but who knows about the personality? ;)

I think the exact opposite way. The guardian only represents your perfect partner in the most superficial and shallow ways(like looks and positioning themselves as being someone who'll always be supportive of you) as a way of manipulating you into doing what they want. This helps make your other romances more special by showing how your emotional connection with them is more valuable than the superficial ones you have with the guardian.
