The only source for the supposed hiring are clickbait sites, and nothing confirms that this has anything to do with a BG4 beyond wishful thinking.

Larian won't be making for sure. They handed the IP back to WoTC who owns the rights.

I am sure WoTC will find another studio to make BG4, if one is interested.

I am not interested in a BG4. I only got into BG3 because it was Larian who made it. Have enjoyed thier games, I will be playing the next Larian game not BG4 if there is one.

I wonder what manner of companions we shall behold in Baldur’s Gate 4! In BG3, many a half-elf did roam, yet lo, the sages of Wizards of the Coast have deemed the very notion of "half" to be unseemly, branding it as "inherently racist". And so, in their boundless wisdom as a most progressive and enlightened order, they have cast such folk from the realms of Dungeons & Dragons! Dragon Age: Veilguard! was a "huge" success?

Judging from what I have seen/read in reviews, videos and other commentaries on it, I would have zero interest in a BG4 made by them.

The graphics for one, look worse than DAI.
