mod idea
im just throw this here cause its a super simple mod idea or honestly partially a request of larian to PLEASE make it so only CROUCHING and moving far enough away ends combat instead of JUST going stealth or invisible and than the enemies not finding you cause when playing solo assassin, its super ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ annoying to be doing some serious damage only to blip into invisibility for one round to long and suddenly combat ends and all enemies involved insta heal...... like AT LEAST give them a limit on how much they can heal meaning you could AT LEAST bait them into using both of their short rests but really just pls fix the stealth so it doesnt make solo stealth assassin both boring and annoying as hell....

Enemies do not have Short/Long Rests for one. For two, why would they stay in combat if they do not even think you are around anymore? That's what Detect Hidden is for which once it fails it tells them you are no longer around.

if I survived a rando assassin attack, i'd use all my healing potions to get back to full HP ASAP. why would I take a short rest? maybe adjust your play style instead of begging for an easy mode mod.
The game deliberately subverts the trope where you, from stealth, slowly kill guards who never see you and never seem to notice they are being killed. "Must have been the wind," they say, with an arrow sticking out of them.

Shiiid, still kinda can with high enough Stealth and if you one tap the target. Greater Invisibility + Pass without a Trace thoroughly breaks this.

yup.... honestly it should be that the SECOND someone is killed from stealth, you are forced into combat but just are 'not detected' although if anyone could see the person you killed, they get the normal ping at your location that you killed them from to go investigate AND detect presence should be changed to make it so as long as they have line of sight, and are within just to give it a number that would 100% be altered to be properly balanced, 15ft, than they can try to look for you and either get advantage if your not behind cover, regular roll for when you got half cover, and disadvantager if your behind 3/4ths cover with than lastly, if your behind total cover from their position, than you cant be detected unless they are right there encouraging less of the current ♥♥♥♥ you can pull while also making it so invisibility in general counts as 3/4ths cover and makes 3/4ths cover count as full cover for detecting you similar to 5e with also making it so like in 5e, people CAN attack you while you are invisible but just make their attacks at disadvantage and if you spend perhaps again just to spitball numbers for now, 2 turns behind 3/4ths to total cover than they 'lose sight of you' and have to search to find you again and while just detecting you doesnt break your invisibility, it does allow ALL enemies to target you and attack you at disadvantage and you do have to break LOS with all enemies.

a rework like this would make stealth far less strong but also far less clunky where invis can be worthless at times cause being detected just literally breaks your invis and invis itself just breaks combat by force ending it with enemies having infinite short rests really killing the flow.
I'm sure there is a guide on YT from some tryhard who solos the entire game on Honor Mode as a stealth archer
Found it. The tryhard happens to be a girl XD
Haven't watched the entire video but she says that it can be used solo, so enjoy
