DLSS 4 - Some questions for those who have got it working
Morning everyone, just curious if anyone is using DLSS 4 with BG3?

What are your general thoughts about it?

Also, is anyone able to explain to me how to get it working? I have updated to the latest NVIDIA drivers, but the NVIDIA App has the game listed as Unsupported.

Thanks!

Not needed. The game looks awesome for the type it is, just using basic DLSS. Works great for me at 1440p, all graphic settings set to max on my RTX 3060ti OC. Is also very stable and consistently smooth game play. Even in Act 3.

You have to download the latest Nvidia Profile Inspector and enable override from there. It looks great, but it's not necessary, since the game is not reliant on fps being a turn based RPG, it's generally not GPU heavy and in Act 3 it's more likely to hit CPU bottleneck which will make DLSS performance advantage irrelevant.
I used dlss swapper and it works. I can tell game runs smoother and everything looks more crisp. Not a huge difference as it is an isometric game where everything looks so small from top down view but it is much more noticable when you zoom in or during cut scenes.

I played in 1440p with a 2070 super and now play with a 4070 super - seen no diference at all. It runs WELL with older VGAs.

didn't even try DLSS4 because there is not point trying to improve framerate by a small margin.

Use the Nvidia App and force Preset K to use with DLAA, it's the best the game can look

Change the "DLSS Override - Model Presets" for BG3 in Nvidia App to "Latest" to enable DLSS4. You can do this in almost any DLSS3 enabled game.
