BG3 & web novels crossover

I am reading lots of web stories... and waaaay too many of them have people reincarnated from another world (aka reincarnator or Isekai) or people in a timeloop (aka regressor).

Now, as I play BG3 and blaze through some social encounters with the foresight of someone gifted with... foresight. I can't help but to think of myself as a regressor, as one gifted with knowledge of the future I already lived!
This way I can act in character! But my character is that of one in a timeloop! :D

Sure, that is how I play it now that I've been through it a couple of times.

I play the game while completely ignoring the story since it is so shallow. Hirelings help since they have the absolute minimum dialog.

I've often wondered if the weak story comes from faerun or whether it is a product of Larians writers.

Mmm... out of curiosity could you give an example of a CRPG that has a "strong story"?

Bonus question, I am sure that you could find one with a strong story. But how many more (names!!) can you find?
