Baldur's Gate 3

View Stats:
Faith-Leap Trial easily the worst part of the game by a multiutide of scales.
One of the worst expierences you can have - and i had a lot.

The solution is obvious, its truly painted on the floor - you gotta walk the invisible walkway - but it just doesn't work, is a absolute pure pain to finish that HATES the player - no water, no items, no alernative ways, no jumping, no dimension door.

Remove it.

Absolutly Aweful.

For the two people who clearly can't read subtext or actual text: I've passed it...

Homes, have Halsin turn into a raven, fly to the platforms, then final ledge, get umbral gem, done. Takes me 30 seconds. Also easy to do with teleportation, if you have it.

People say it is easy to do the legit way. Maybe? Shrug? I cheese it this way every time, and even knowing I don't have to, as I could cheese the final door.

Letting SH do at least one trial (like Self Same) gets you a Nightsong Point. If you don't know what those are, search for other threads. (I just recently learned about those and how they work myself. Bottom line is you don't REALLY need them but getting 4 of those points COULD be useful.)

Self-same is the only fun trial.

That's a good idea. I have never play with a druid.

Once you've done it a few times you remember where the sidewalks are.

I do find it difficult to determine what I did wrong when I fail. I wouldn't mind a little more feedback there.

I think one problem is the Roadrunner effect. As best I can tell, the game actually lets you walk out into air, and only says "nope" when you stop moving. So you miss the feedback of exactly where it was that you stepped off.

I wonder to know if the problem is for people using a controller. With keyboard and mouse, it's so easy, just click and jump. Just drink a potion if you don't have the athletics or the STR. Even for the last jump which is longer than the others, no problem for my monk w/o any potion/scroll buff. Never had to jump on the invisible path.

guide video, Just jump, no need for any path or spell.

Very difficult to get the perspective right to follow the pattern on the floor. I usually cast a fly scroll to get to the first and second platform then try to jump to the safe blocks in front of the final spot and jump up from there. The trickiest part of this is jumping to a safe spot in front of the final platform.
People that say "oh just follow the floor pattern" need to share some way of getting a pure topdown perspective because trying to guess at it as you go doesn't work too well.

Tactical view ('O' key on PC) should give you a straight top-down view. I've only done the trial once and used a fly potion personally.
theres literally a drawing on the floor that tells you where to go.

If you have only one mod to install, Native Camera mod is the only one. This mod unlock the camera in a way you take full control of it from top view to horizon views. If this mod has been ported to patch 7 (I did my playthrough on patch 6), you will find it on Nexus.

Read the post you replied to, specifically "The solution is obvious, its truly painted on the floor".

You must be american with that level of reading skill.
