has anyone found an approval bug fix for act 3 lower city?
When entering lower city for the first time my companions stop gaining or loosing approval. I have seen similar post about approvals being bugged at specific approval ratings but not any that are not years old or effecting the entire team. I have tried saving reloading and swapping characters out and even verifying my files but have had no luck. I have been using the wiki list to check what should raise approval but nothing I do has any effect. dose anyone know Is there any way to fix this or dose it fix itself after getting farther? The two character that it is effecting are Jeriah and Astarion but I believe the other characters are maxed out or close enough that I cant get a higher rating. I have also not unlocked Mincs yet as I just entered the lower gate when it started.

I have been able to load an old save before the lower city and was able to get approval while inside the area before the lower city both before and after entering the lower city but while I am in the lower city I still get no approval. regardless of what the approval number is or if I save and reload.

Go complete their associated quests. If Minthara is anything to go by in Act 2, those two might have a stop gap to gaining Approval until their specific quests in the Lower City are done. Jaehira's being saving Minsc, Astarion being killing Cazador. Any approval that should have been gained might be stockpiled and then just straight dumped all at once onto them once their personal quests are done.

Someone pointed out this consistently happens with Minthara in Act 2 until you beat Kethric.

Thanks for the tip I will try it out.
I'm having this issue around last light inn.
specifically: not drinking jaheira's wine is an obvious +3 to astarion's approval, but nope.
I've just gotten to the lower city for the first time and now I think I'm having this problem myself.

Minthara's the one I'm scrounging approval for on my playthrough, got her way too late in Act 2, but none of the suggested dialogue choices on the guide I was using are giving me squat. I even installed the Overxplained Interactions mod just to make sure I wasn't going crazy and sure enough there were clearly options marked that would get me approval with Astarion, Jaheira and Minthara (my three lowest), yet when I picked them nothing happened.

It gets inconsistent though, because I still get positive Minthara approval when I insult the two kids selling newspapers, Silfy and the other one that I don't remember. So unless Larian just really hates the Baldurian press I feel there has to be some glitch or invisible progress block I don't know about.

Could this be something to do with it? I haven't done Jaheira's quest to find Minsc or Astarions to kill Cazador yet. Though I don't see why that would affect Minthara approval.

Anyone had a revelation about this yet?
