2. The Larian hexblade is coming with Patch 8 which is not out yet.
3. You can get a hexblade mod in the meantime from the in-game mod manager.
But I am not pissed at Larian about this. Not at all. No, I am just a fanboy who never gets pissed at Larian.
Except over this. GIVE US THE F**KING TOOLKIT LARIAN. LOL.
And BTW, LISTEN UP YOU BELGIAN WAFFLE EATERS (LOL), MAC USERS don't want to wait till Sony and Microsoft Poobahs approve console mods for Mac users to get their mods "approved" in the in-game mod manager.
Ok Sven. I've vented. I've ranted. In good Steam fashion. Sorry. Keep calm and carry on. Maybe you'll shock me in Patch 8 and offer a Mac version of the Toolkit. Stranger things have happened.
Maybe the universe will warp through some kind of singularity, and Norbyte will suddenly decide to port script extender to Macs, too.
Yeah, this is usually the point where I wake up, LOL.
Right, Larian hosed you and it has absolutely nothing to do with Apple OS architecture that prevents it. Considering you're well aware you need Script Extender for many mods for BG3, and bet my ass Mac doesn't have access to messing with files through Osiris; that is your issue.
In all fairness, Mac is apperently more expensive to make games for and an annoying process for what amounts to a very small amount of gamers.

Here is a fun little short on it haha

Following up, I have acquired a Windows copy of bg3 on Steam and am running it and toolkit via whiskyapp on M1 Max / Sequoia
Here's how you do it:
* Create fresh BG3 bottle in whisky
* Turn on DXVK, turn off DXVK async
* Install BG3 via Steam + DLC for Toolkit
* Install Dotnet48 via winetricks
* Run bg3 via the bg3dx11.exe file and run tookit via running glasses.exe
* you might need to configure glasses.exe in Whisky to use en-us locale (or whatever locale you use, Automatic didn't work for me)
[snip][end]
Whisky App seems to be a version of WINE developed to run on Mac, and utilizes the Mac Game Porting Toolkit. Anyhoo, appears to be freeware and on Github.
The only thing that bugs me is, as I've repeatedly heard, this will only work if I buy a 2nd, Windows, version of the game client.
Sigh. I'm almost willing to do it. Almost. It just ticks me off that I need to do it.
We can discuss that. However, the issue is not whether or not Larian will decide to offer a Mac version of the game. They already made that decision. The question is, are they willing to support older OSen on that platform? (answer appears to be no, though this does not affect me). And then. Will they offer the Toolkit on that platform? Answer is no.
But as I've said, it's not like I haven't run into this before. The NWN2 game client ran on Macs. The NWN2 Toolset did not and was Windows only. However, I was able to run it via dual booting into Windows (something I can no longer do), and more importantly, as it didn't require the Windows game client to work, I didn't need a 2nd version of the game.
