Laezel romance
Apart from the obvious (gith and dragonborn), what race makes the most sense in romancing laezel? Im having a hard time deciding between Drow, Human, Tiefling, Dwarf, and Duegar. any ideas?

All?

I wasn’t aware “romance” came with a racial modifier.
I mean… every character that can empathize with her is good regardless of race. You just need to roleplay accordingly.
In my case, a second generation Seldarine (his mother grew up in Menzoberranzan before escaping), was my choice.

How... Is Gith and Dragonborn obvious? Githyanki aren't lizards with the in lore theory being they are mutated humans the Illithid kidnapped thousands of years ago.

It doesn't. Lae'zel likes anyone who is dominant, courageous, and confident. That can be any species/race.

OP: Just create your own backstory for your character and role-play that. Whatever seems fun to you.

There is a meme where you are a red-ancestry dragonborn and you romance Lae'zel.

There are a few minor unique dialogue lines.

Truly? That's a neat detail. Does a duergar get lines about their shared history of escaping illithid slaving?
I don't know. It doesn't seem like you should be able to romance an egg laying lizard, like the biology of it all doesn't seem like it jives, but, hey, i guess you could choose a drow because they seem like they get down with some weird stuff when it comes to spiders. So, close enough?

Why would someone romance such an arrogant starved frog? I can't stand the Gith at all.

Technically It should be humans (if i'm not mistaken githyanki were humans that were modified due to being enslaved by the mind flayers)

They're not lizards and they didn't always lay eggs. I think Lae'zel tells you at some point in the game that they didn't always lay eggs; it was a trait acquired at some point.

It is explained in the creche nursery to you if you talk with Bae'Zel there.

I don't think so.
Like I don't think there are any references to your draconic lineage if you are a draconic sorcerer.

It ends up being a joke about the fact that Lae'Zel has said one of her greatest dreams is to ride a red dragon.

"Well, will you settle for riding a red dragonborn?" (LOL).

The exact lore of the origin of the Githyanki is murky. What we do know: the Ghaik seem to have taken a humanoid race (if not human) and modified them so they could be their thralls - until the Gith rebelled. This was thousands of years ago.

What exactly they did to the Gith to modify them is unknown but as I've said, both their appearance and egg laying seem to suggest the Ghaik spliced a bit of amphibian (not reptile) DNA into there. Part frog or toad is more correct than part lizard.

Since Lae'zel finds herself gobsmacked that she's attracted at all to Tavs of the "wrong" race -- and possibly gender, since her dialogue implies she's always been heterosexual -- I think the correct answer here is "any."

Your PC is Kramer.
