Proper Long Resting for Events
What is the "proper" way to long rest in regards to getting camp events? The way I normally do it is just by playing through and long resting every handful of fights or so, maybe sleeping twice in a row if I know I have more than one event backlogged. For giggles, since I am starting a new playthrough, I got Shadowheart off the beach and immediately started long resting.

Night 1 - think about blood as Durge
Night 2 - Shadowheart asks how you are feeling, no event after choosing to sleep
Night 3 - the wound on her hand hurts her, can immediately point her out as a Shar worshipper
Leave camp - can talk to her about her Shar worship (I am a cleric of Selune so that's fun), got the opportunity to truly connect with her dialogue, chose it for an extra event
Night 4 - Shadowheart is arguing with the artefact, went on a wine date
Leave camp - she tells you about her dream about becoming a Dark Justiciar

The only reason I bring this up is because I have a mod that notifies me when there's a camp event active, and since I try to play through normally and get regular triggers (like Shadowheart's hand wound. Usually when you intervene between Kagha and Arabella that's when I get it to pop up during gameplay) so the notification is always above my head. I was just wondering if it's more optimal to find these triggers naturally, or if I should just try to rush down every event once I pick up a new companion.

the game pretends its on a timer but its not also you can't trigger act 1 cutscenes in an act 2 area or even the mountain pass which is silly for some things
shadowheart and lae'zel don't hate each other in the shadowlands I guess?
It's probably best to long rest whenever you can unless the game starts talking out certain npcs mortality which really only comes up twice I think.
