Rain and ice cantrip, its funny making the NPCs slip all over 🤣 upcast rain, get massive puddle for ice!
Favorite single spell is probably ottos dance cuz it's fun :p
However if we add usefulness as a factor cuz while those previous have some good moments but overall usefulness across the game... can vary haha
Chromatic orb, it's ability to change to different elements makes it useful on many classes as a choice when an option, as fire it can ignite, as ice it can freeze the ground and water if there is any, as thunder or lightning it can trigger the effects of tempest cleric/sorcerer overall it's got a lot of versatility!
Honorable mention of utility spells, misty step! I kinda love that spell for utility reasons.
Dawnstar's Water Spells

I like Mystra's but I also like "mini" mods like this that kind of stick to a small addition of "themed" homebrew spells. Valkrana's Spellbook is like that, but focuses on necromancy.
magic missile
eldritch blast
I like the idea of enchantment and illusion a lot but they're just annoying to use on tact because 5e really doesn't give you many tools to increase your DCs or really specialize in a school so raw damage just ends up being better
Welp, another mod to my ever growing list.
Magic Missiles
Hunger of Hadar
Eldritch Blast
Vicious Mockery
Tasha's Hideous Laughter
I swear Larian must be jealous of some of the work coming from the modding community.
After patch 8 me and my brother are gonna do our first modded run so I'll consider it for sure lol mostly looking for well balanced new content to add to the game.
That said, Minor Illusion is fun and you can do some neat stuff with Darkness and Silence in certain situations.
Hunger of Hadar probably isn't usually a better use of your concentration than Spirti Guardians or a more dedicated control spell, but it is a very fun one.
Well ... aside from the sheer number ... if you are not on console, the total # of mods you are using doesn't matter. I suppose it does ultimately, my guess is at some point the game could collapse from the sheer amount of memory they are using. Console players are limited and rationed to 100 mods. Larian has dictated.
Then there's the stuff that over-writes each other. Sigh. It still happens with subclasses, IF the subclasses are NOT taken at level 1. It also sometimes happens when multi-classing into a second class. These are bugs Larian says they are fixing in Patch 8.
I tried an experiment. Can you use 5E Spells and Mystra's Spells at the same time? Only if you want to go batty from all the duplicate spells, with different icons, and the missing icons, and ... short answer, please don't try. They do not cooperate well. Now, it would be cool if the author of 5E would just "fork" out the 7th-9th level spells which don't overlap with Mystra's ... yeah, he told me to sod off. Well, look, modders don't owe me anything and I get that; so look, I do sometimes ask for things, you never get anything if you don't ask at all. With that, I accept when they tell me to pound sand. I don't know exactly why, but I'm sure there are reasons "DIZ" won't take PMs and closed his Nexus forums for 5E spells. If it has bugs or conflicts ... no longer his responsibility to fix. He told me he takes no requests or questions about it anymore at all. OK.... fine. I ain't the boss of him, but it gives me an additional reason to stick with Mystra's, where the author there is still willing to take requests, bug reports, and questions. And keeps adding to it.
So particularly ... spell mods and feat mods ... sigh. I've already said my piece on what your feat list looks like once you have several feat mods. A crazyquilt jumble. Seriously, nobody can write a simple sort to sort the whole list A-Z? Please note, I know what sounds simple can be difficult, and thus no, I am not saying, "C'mon Modders! GET THIS DONE!" (LOL) Like many things, seems to me if it was easy it would have been done already.
Something called Feats Plus once did it back in the day, but it was woefully limited even in its time, and doesn't work at all, now.
And your spell list. Once you are using spell mods. Oh does it look like a dog's breakfast. By that, I mean, not your spell list of preparable or known spells on the character sheet. That's well organized. Until you start multi classing and forget which class is giving you what spell or cantrip or spell-like ability, but I digress. No, I'm talking about the spell list of spells to choose and select from on level up.
It is disorganized AF. MOSTLY sorted by spell level, but lordy lordy, I was just trying to figure out where Advanced Tabletop Spells puts those options, and Wish (level 9) was sitting there among some other 4th level spells. Huh? Oh, what I'd give for some UI mod that just imposes order in that chaos. Spell List Sorter is OK, but also limited, and requires script extender, which I can't use.
What somebody else asked for ... sorting based on spell type (necromancy, evocation, etc.) would be awesome gravy. Similarly, I'd love if your feats list was searchable. Where the hell is Eldritch Adept? Just type into the search field ... that too would be nice gravy, too, but really most of all, just sort the whole damn thing A-Z. What will be funny is it will make the duplicates more obvious, but that could be charming.
Feats Extra and Essential Feats have a whole bunch of duplicates, that one is one. Ironically, that very fact can let you easily take Eldritch Adept twice if you want to.
Haven't gone crazy with Mods on bg3 yet, but my last skyrim was 350GB and my last FO4 was over 500GB...^^
I couldn't live with such limits....
And why would I?
With my Bluetooth Controller + Chromecast + Steamlink I can bring games to any chromecast enabled TV via smartphone...as long as I have good internet (which is pretty much always the case in my area)...I really don't see any use for consoles anymore...:P
Command, Create Water, Feather Fall, Sleep, Thunder Wave, Magic Missile, Longstrider, Jump, Shield, Inflict Wounds, Ice Knife, Armour of Agathys.
Aid, Arcane Lock, Knock, Mirror Image, Shatter, Silence, Cloud of Daggers, Moonbeam, Hold Person, Misty Step, Invisibility, Darkness, Spike Growth, Gust of Wind.
Call Lightning, Sleet Storm, Hunger of Hadar, Plant Growth, Counterspell, Lightning Bolt, Animate Dead, Blink, Gaseous Form, Slow, Daylight. Glyph of Warding.
Confusion, Conjure Minor Elemental, Conjure Woodland Being, Fire Shield, Greater Invisibility, Ice Storm, Otiluke's Resilient Sphere, Phantasmal Killer, Wall of Fire.
Cone of Cold, Conjure Elemental, Flame Strike, Hold Monster, Telekinesis.
Chain Lightning, Create Undead, Flesh to Stone, Harm, Heal, Hero's Feast, Otto's Irresistible Dance, Sunbeam, Wall of Ice, Wall of Thorns, Windwalk.
I love using Ray of Frost with that combo (or Plant Growth + HoH). 1/4 move and -10ft move means many enemies can't move.
2 turns of hypnotic pattern is nothing, dissonant whispers not forcing targets to use their reaction to flee and take opportunity attacks defeats the entire point of it, phantasmal force is just... why? Although admittedly that one would probably be really awkward to have to what it's supposed to in PnP. It rewards player creativity but also requires a bit of DM fiat.
