OP needs to use the UI elements (clicking on the spell slots icons above his action bar) to select the correct version of a spell if he has different versions of something (like in the case of Warlock)
No, it still casts them with the wrong slots, unfortunately.
This does not work, it still casts with the wrong slot.
When I have the elixir for an extra spell slot and I go to cast hex with my warlock, I can pick either the Warlock Spellslot or the Elixir "Normal" spell slot and I can pick either one interchangeably. It's this way for all spells as well, assuming they're the same level compatible with the spell slots.
Isn't this what you're trying to do?
Click on Armor of Aga-whatever, then right after, the game should pop up all your spell slots. Simply click on the Warlock one, then initiate the spell. That's how you would do this. The game shouldn't be overriding your choice, it's literally why it gives you the choice. Sounds like a bug, unless I'm completely misunderstanding what you're trying to do.
It does, but it still will use the incorrect spell slots first.
If you click on the Warlock slot, let's say Lv2, and you have Lv2 slots or a different class, it will burn the other classes slot and not the Warlock slot even though you selected the spell through the Warlock slot.
It'd possibly a bug but if it it is, it seems to be one other people run into fairly often. I've been able to find other people complaining about it, but no fixes, hence this thread.
Maybe it's different with Elixir slots because they're not class-based? But so far I've had the same problem with Paladin, Sorc, and EK slots, so it seems pretty hardwired. Warlock slots are not used until all other applicable (class) slots are depleted.
Here is a quick video I just took of what we are discussing. I removed all my mods from the game (bar a few that only affect appearances in generated folder so shouldn't affect spell slots at all) and if you try casting AoA through the Sorcerer slots, it defaults back to the Warlock slots. If you try casting spells learned through Sorcerer with Warlock slots while still having Sorcerer slots, it defaults to Sorcerer slots despite clicking on the Slots themselves and selecting the spells through the menu.

This actually *slightly* better than my case! At least it lets you cast AoA with Warlock slots. I think it's because you have Level 2 slots of both. When I try to cast my level 3 Warlock AoA with a Warlock slot, it instead casts it at Level 1 (or 2, in a second character) Sorc (or EK) slot.
Yeah, it's cause Warlock spells take priority from their own spell slots and since your Warlock is only Lv1 and gets their Lv2 Spell slot at Lv3, you only get the Lv1 AoA. The Warlock in the video is character Lv6.
I have two Warlocks, one is Level 7 with five levels of EK, but still casts AoA with the first level EK slots instead of the fourth level Warlock ones.
The other is Level 5, with four levels of Sorc, two levels of Paladin, and one level of Cleric, and still casts AoA at level 1 instead of 3.
This made me remember something. There is a cheese method of getting more Spell Slots with Shield of Devotion + Sorcerer. Issue is, 1) its cheese and 2) you get Shield of Devotion at Last Light Inn from Quartermaster Tali.
For some weird reason when you convert all your Lv1 spell slots into Sorcery Points, remove the Shield of Devotion, then reequip it, it gives another Lv1 slot. Keep rinsing and repeating this until you have the desired number of Sorcery Points. Convert however many Sorcery Points you want into higher tier Spell Slots. Now you got all the Lv3 or higher (depending on how many levels you put into Sorcerer) spell slots you want.
