You're thinking of the Undead Hook Horrors which do not respond to things being stolen since they are an animal. None of the actual Myconids have Blindsense nor would they have been aware of my stealing to begin with because I made sure to use Darkness to stealth, and do so with zero lines of sight from the Myconids on Derryth. I warped to camp immediately after leaving Turn Based mode then long rested. They would not have been able to react to Astarion stealing.
The Myconid that triggers the entire village is completely outside their line of sight of me. They are closer to Spaw than they are to Derryth.
This aspect of the game need a complete overhaul.
Because you never know for sure their range of detection, that made the thing extremely hazardous.
I cannot say if it was a bug, or just my idea was too hazardous.
Concerning the cityguards and steel watch in act 3, i've been litteraly cheesing the rogue-like parts with dark justiciar shadowheart using shadow at will : almost nobody sees in magical darkness and even if city guards can cast detect invisibility, they can do nothing against darkness. All you need is to make sure no NPC is caught in the radius at the time you cast it, because that makes them hostile
