Derryth done borked the village.
For some ungodly reason, stealing from Derryth is causing the Myconids to be 100% Hostile despite me having left the area before she noticed, and any guards could see me (I jacked her from Darkness, warped to camp, long rested). Her Attitude with Astarion isn't that high. Its only a -5 rather than maxed or anything. Never ran into this before in all my days on this game.

Guess I am pruning some mushrooms.

Yep, some myconids can sense without seeing... no stealth possible. It's on their profile, but idk if all of them can.

You're thinking of the Undead Hook Horrors which do not respond to things being stolen since they are an animal. None of the actual Myconids have Blindsense nor would they have been aware of my stealing to begin with because I made sure to use Darkness to stealth, and do so with zero lines of sight from the Myconids on Derryth. I warped to camp immediately after leaving Turn Based mode then long rested. They would not have been able to react to Astarion stealing.

The Myconid that triggers the entire village is completely outside their line of sight of me. They are closer to Spaw than they are to Derryth.

Not completely true. If they are far away when you commit your crime, they won't sense you. Not worse than guards in the city if you steal something in a pile of rubbish.

This aspect of the game need a complete overhaul.

Looking around the net, what I think is happening is a bug with killing Glut. I was going to murder Glut to begin with but I chose the wrong dialogue option because I was skim reading. Wound up siding with Glut but didn't wanna bring its fat arse to the colony and turn them hostile. I murdered Glut at the Beach (he never turned hostile from me whacking on him) and this must have screwed up the flags with the Myconids.
I tried once to kill Baelen after i saved him (to be "nice" to Derryth according to drow canon), and i stumbled onto this problem. I had no problem to hide from Derryth the normal way, but the myconids at the door (as far i could judge) kept seeing me.
Because you never know for sure their range of detection, that made the thing extremely hazardous.
I cannot say if it was a bug, or just my idea was too hazardous.

Concerning the cityguards and steel watch in act 3, i've been litteraly cheesing the rogue-like parts with dark justiciar shadowheart using shadow at will : almost nobody sees in magical darkness and even if city guards can cast detect invisibility, they can do nothing against darkness. All you need is to make sure no NPC is caught in the radius at the time you cast it, because that makes them hostile
