I...didn't even really read the post until now lol. I just saw it was a review and figured he was lost.
I mean, likely PEBKAC, but who am I to judge if he wants to make a review that paints himself in an unflattering light.
there are a few bugs, no one claims it has none. But I haven't hit a game breaker yet. The console is playing with fire, but thankfully youll have multiple old saves and backups before you do that, so even if you ruin your save file, you can go back and try again or play it out without cheating.
BTW, it's interesting, there are all kinds of cheats and hacks out there, either as mods or external (like WeMod or Cheat Engine), not one of them I know can actually edit your savefiles. (That's something I used to do in other CRPGs. Both Cheat Engine and WeMod AFAIK I believe change the game state AS IT IS running and don't edit your savefiles. Granted, BG2 and others let you into the debug console with far less rigmarole, too.) I don't know how you made your characters "non-interactive" (I've done it, but it was always and only done by using or mis-using other mods) ... I suspect Debug Book could "refresh" them, maybe take a look at that.
Anyway, if you want to alter the state of romances ... you don't need Debug Book or the debug console ... just get Polyamory mod, does it for you from a very nice UI, no need to type commands.
The game is not loaded with gamebreaking bugs. As I said, what you're describing I've never seen. BTW, I have inflicted those types of things on myself through use of mods, but I knew what I was getting into when I used them. It's why I always read the bug reports for every mod, would be nice if mod.io actually had a specific place for bug reports, aside from general discussion or feature requests for its mods ... but it does not. And since I always try the bleeding edge, sigh, I'm often the one discovering the bugs.
Right now it looks like Icequiver Arcane Vanguard and its frost surface creating ability is making my game crash like crazy. I reported it.
This game is full of fking bugs that are not fixed. Its a fking embarassment for them.
Its probably why they gave up on the project instead of making a dlc or BG4.
The people who made this game remind me of kids who break things or mess up their rooms and can't for the life of them fix or clean it up.
The product is not faulty. You used a third party program to mess with the code and effed it up. That's on YOU and/or whoever made the third party program.
Pointing out to OP that the f***ed up the game themselves and it wasn't a bug isn't "bullying" them.
No more so than literally any other AAA game and fewer than most.
No, they dropped the DLC and any plans for another D&D game when Hasbro/WotC acted like unscrupulous jerks.
More like you're the one who breaks the stuff in the kid's room, then blames the kid.
Edit: LOL, holy crap. Not going to take complaints of bugs in THIS game seriously from someone whose #2 top played game is effing PLANETSIDE 2!
I have yet to see any "gamebreaking bugs" after almost 600h of playtime. Only one I did encounter was the infamous HM elevator bug, which can be circumvented by just waiting a bit before using it.
Also, Seph? No wonder Cloud doesn't want to give you the Black Materia.
