My last Playthrough I was romancing the Shar Preistess and yet I had the vampire and the wizard both start gay conversations with me.

So back then at least it did not matter what I actually was pressing or choosing to do.

The game uses advanced AI to tell by how you play and the choices you make, which sexual orientation you are. So really the question you should be asking yourself is why are all the guys up on you?

There is a Nexus mod called Romance revamped. Removes all romance from the game based on options (including same gender). Now, BTW, if you don't want to see NPCs express same sex feelings for each other, well that requires something you can only get at HQ's called No Alphabets. I don't use it, I know of its existence, I am not going to help you find it, but now you know what to search for. (I hate people accusing me of censorship because I won't mention it.) Warning: when you find where it's hosted, make sure your virus checking software is up to date.

Maybe as a gay man, I just know how to read the room before anyone starts anything. No romances of any kind until the Emperor showed up nekkid in a dream after several playthroughs, and then, I just had to see where it was going to go. It was hilarious. In the end, it was still all my choice (and also my choice to save scum after I saw where it led).

I later checked out all the other romances except Karlach. Some funny stuff thrown in. Nothing rage-worthy. Got bored dealing with Karlach's 10-year-old emotional maturity in a 20+ body. That's what happens when kids aren't allowed to just be kids.

And don't start on Lae'zel. People who can't see cultural differences clashing probably never put themselves in anyone else's shoes, ever. It was funny, and funnier when denying her to taste your MC's sweat and seeing how she copes with another member of the party. (I never did see her complaints about all the second-place choices, just Wyll and Shadowheart. I wonder if there's a way for her to try to bunk with Gale and what she has to say about it.)
