Something is Wrong with the Arcane Tower????

So I'm on the top floor, said all the proper dialogue, and while looting the place i noticed the broken machinery wasn't going into my inventory or the camp inventory. Also, why does it look like Bernard is handing me something but there is nothing new in my inventory?

The broken machinery is an alchemy ingredient, so look for it there.

The new item is the ring that casts the light spell. He may put it on a table near you.

I believe one of the phrases is supposed to deliver a potion, but I don't believe it's worked since possibly EA. I think the ring now just appears in your inventory.
