To offer input to op, veilguard would’ve been a whole lot worse without her. I still don’t think BG4 will be great, but it will at least not be the worst possible thing ever.
It's okay, this series has already survived SoD's cringey gamergate dialogue
Lots of people propagate rumours about this, but I've searched the net and found no confirmation that Corrinne Busche joined WOTC nor informations about what projects she is currently working on. All I found is that she left Bioware to join another big company but without more precisions.
Do you have ANY serious source confirming what you say or it is only something you've read or heard without verifying by yourself ?
You know, there is lots of fake news around and people tends to come to conclusions quite fast, so it's always better to check the facts...
Why do so many conservatives get her gender wrong? This is just weird.
A big budget game needs to sell millions of copies. It sold 1.5mil. Not counting refunds.
If she leads BG4. It'll be the exact same product as Veilguard. And thus. Will also be a Commercial failure.
According to this youtuber, a source inside WOTC confirmed him that Corrine Busche got hired at WOTC, specifically at SKELETON KEY studio, led by Christian Dailey , who had been previously Executive Productor on Dragon Age : The Veilguard.
From there, lots of bloggers and youtubers started to speculate that she is gonna work on BG4.
However there is a big problem with this theory : Skeleton Key is a small studio and they are already working on another game , a AAA Horror Game.
So even if it might be true that WOTC hired Corrine Busche, it's not to work on BG4 but on another project.
TLDR : CORRINE BUSCHE WILL PROBABLY NOT BE DIRECTING BG4, PLEASE STOP SPREADING RUMOURS.

You assume everyone who does this is 'conservative' whatever that means (its loosley defined regionally, at best).
Personally I try not to do that but I am getting to be rather old and memorizing the desired gender for thousands of people I don't know and will never meet IRL is burdensome. I can manage better when the name and appearance/look match my expectations, but its still a difficult ask and getting all fired up when someone messes it up is like dealing with a militant vegan -- its offensive enough that I may just keep doing it out of general old man grouchiness and stubbornness if the person goes all "teaching moment" hostile at me. If someone you barely know screws it up, let it slide or be extremely nice when you correct them; it may not be a political statement. Im a thin guy with past shoulder hair. If I went apecrap on everyone who had said 'hey miss' or similar in a store or something, there would be a lot of busted heads. I just let it go, its not worth it to figure out who messed up and who was being a jerk. Its the hardest for someone you have known for decades... esp if their looks are not radically different. I freely admit to a lot of problems with that, the brain fetches the wrong data faster than it can correct itself when you get to a certain age.
Ah yes, because all multi-million 5+ year development games are exclusively derived from the name of one of the people responsible. No person has ever made two different games. And no person has ever made different products with different teams and circumstances.
Your desire to push a narrative is transparent and childish. Grow up.
If for instance, your project manager wants one thing. Generally the team beneath them will make their wanted thing.
A DIRECTOR. DIRECTS THINGS. That is generally their JOB.
I am not pushing a narrative. I am stating fact. People with a reputation are generally known for something. Tim Burton. Romero. Dr Seus. Everything they are involved in or direct. or write/make, Is all similar in some way.
Corrinne Busche? she was a designer for increasingly bad or Mid games. And the one game she was 'in charge' of. Ended up terrible. What POSSIBLE EVIDENCE is there she is Remotely capable of making a well liked and respected game?
That assumes development went smoothly as well.
It didn't.
They had to restart twice with a different team over a 10+ year period.
Meaning they likely would have needed far more then good sales to come anywhere near breaking even.
