Mystic Carrion never dies

So I killed him after giving him Thrumbos body and now he keeps resurrecting and no disguise allows me to trade with him. Seems odd.

I did get the good loot the first time I killed him, but I would like to trade with him still.

There is an object you need to destroy first otherwise he will resurrect after every long rest.

Hint: The object is in the same building (Philgrave's Mansion) but not in the same room neither on the same level as him.

Pretty sure he can’t be killed without destroying his organ heart jar first.

I killed him for the first time yesterday just for the Staff. Deciding what build to use to take advantage of it.

My thief pickpocketed him, didn't get caught, and he took it personally. Or something thief related. I don't remember what.

Usually I take Thrumbos side but I wanted to see how hard it would be to kill Mystic without any jars. Was very easy with a cleric in the group.

I would think disguising myself would still allow me to trade.

To kill him you must do the quest for Thumbo that has you hunt down the canopic jars. Which ends with the discovery of the location of the one containing his heart. Which when destroyed makes him mortal and able to be killed.
