If you took all the 'romance' scenes of all the characters and combined them, it's still only a matter of minutes in a 60+ hour game.
Shouldn't need to say that.
Funny enough, there's players that would prefer the inverse of that ratio.
That's fine, and there are romance heavy games available for them. I'm just tired of romance being crammed into every game these days. I just want to play, not 'date' pixels!
But I really appreciate how BG3 handles it. You can romance, you can skip the romance. If you choose to romance, a lot of the scenes are really well done, like the date you go on with Karlach.
As much as you see people complaining, it's very easy to start or skip romance from the dialog options.
The romance is such a tiny fraction of this game, the actual sex even smaller. It's really weird that people focus so heavily on it.
Ya, I mean, while I am sure those people exist out there, I was mostly joking with my comment xD.
You're right that BG3 strikes a great balance, though. I get the impression that the people that complain about this kind of thing would rather RPG be just "G" instead, eh.
yes - there is an actual main questline game in there
poorly written and with far too many words, but it is in there
and yes, apparently "liking" someone in this game means wanting to have sex... why ?
the fact that it's so creepy is just another example of poor writing and development
No, it does not. Stop spreading that rubbish.
I was struggling to put it into words, but "performative prudishness" is solid. Like they are trying to claim the moral high ground before the argument even starts or something.
There is RPG into it for sure. Dating sim can easily be modded out.
