Make a BG3 Netflix series!
Do you not like money? Henry Cavil says he will be in it.

LOL - The story is barely enough to make one episode. No supporting material, no matter to deep introspection, no more than a short best case scenario. BG3 is not the Witcher where the books show cultural folklore present in Poland and Central and Eastern Europe.

there is enough for 1 season their can write between the lines 4 episodes per-act the VC's would 100% be down but honestly hardest part would be what would be the cannon Storyline, do you just fight kaga? do you help her? what about minthara

They could easily stretch it to 2 seasons. Even 1 would be fine.

Just look at Arcane. It was a massive hit, and told it's story in 2 seasons. And the second season was only "meh"

Minthara is part of the "evil" storyline, so probably not canon

Hasbro doesn't deserve the money they'd demand for the license.

You could work around that. The party leaves her for dead, but she's only injured. Then she gets hauled off to Moonrise Towers to stand trial for her crappy security arrangements.

Hire good writers, and you'll have a great story. You think they'd just write an exact copy of the game to a series?

People don't realize how BG3 story is empty & weak for a movie. Nothing important in Act 1 which is mainly a tutorial for the game. Act 2, kill/save Dame Aylin to explain the origin of Ketheric immortality. Kill Ketheric to get the first Netherstone. Act 3) Kill Gortash & Orin for 2 others Netherstone & kill the Netherbrain to save the world. That's it. Companions stories are lovely but unconnected to the main storyline so no big assets to keep people watching.

Sorry, but it's far beyond the actual technology to make interactive TV series ... doesn't mean it will be impossible in the future with IA. If I start a post to ask the players what should be the ending, the answers will go all directions, no agreement.

gonna ignore you skipping over a ton of stuff, but you cant imagine all of that taking more than 1 episode?

anyways, id rather new original stories rather than dumbing down a branching one into a show

also, the less details of the 'canon' version of bg3's events the better

Really Wizards and Hasbro are more likely to make another feature length movie like Honor Among Thieves than to licence D&D for a netflix series.

its kind of insane how stupid they were for not releasing it a bit after bg3's release, would have made insane money from the increased interest in dnd

If you want that, no need to have a TV series. You can already watch Youtube videos full play through for around 20 hours. You will have everything like you want to see but quite boring for general public IMO.

And have another franchise based in FR even more destroyed by DEI? I think we need to wait for it to get crushed first, and hope for better products once the air is more clear.

Ah so yes, you do think they'd just copy the game verbatim to screen.

I think people are just wanting to see the guy in something after the debacle that was the witcher.

Unless it does well, then it wasn't woke to begin with!
