The game crashes at the same moment!
Please help! It's not the first time that the game crashes in a certain cutscene at a certain moment (after a certain phrase from one of the characters). It all started in the third act. Last time, there was a crash in Jaheira's quest, where we meet Gerald and the dopplers. There, I simply killed the dopplers before the dialogue began, and the game continued.
Now I have the same problem, but during the first conversation with Gortash in Snake Rock. At the moment when he asks if Tav accepts the offer, the game crashes.
I disabled and deleted mods, looked for errors in the game, deleted and reloaded the game, all to no avail. I don't know how to continue the game, because this is the main quest.
I really need advice.

When you have mods involved, their scripts are still present in the save. You'd have to make a new save in order to see whether or not you're getting the crash within the vanilla game.

Once mods involved you have to consult the mods authors for assistance.

I said that mods have nothing to do with it, I removed them to check if they affect this bug, but nothing changed.

If you do not understand how mods work, you better do not use them.

I am a person who bought the game and want to have fun, and if I don't know something, kind people will tell me about it. But thanks for the advice =)

I'm glad that the "fix" worked. But I have to clarify that in order to have a clean save, in general you have to start a new game on a new character. There is no way to guarantee that you can safely remove mods from a current play-through.

Only install mods after you read through the posts of last month AT LEAST and found no evidence of someone reporting issues., so you know you install something that is stable.

I'm already in the third act, so I'll just hope I can hold on until the end. Losing everything and starting over would really be a tragedy for me, haha. Thanks =)

I know, I did study this issue in the beginning. I had these mods with me since the first act and they worked stable, but the problems started only now.

Well, I tried it again (what you suggested, uninstalled all mods again and made a new save) and it doesn't work anymore... I couldn't get past that cutscene again.

That being said, I think there are a few mods out there that actually have an in-game uninstaller that will remove itself and the next save will be one without it.
