Astarion Romance Durge Problem?

OK. I am having so much trouble trying to wrap this around my head. I have romanced Astarion the same way multiple times before as the "good" custom character because I could never find myself to be a "bad" character, but this time I am giving into the dark urge and am being an absolutely horrible person left and right and getting Astarion's approval on ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING almost every conversation. I learned in previous playthroughs that if he doesn't feed on you before the party the romance is void so I made sure that he fed on me. I just got done raiding Emerald Grove with the goblins and Astarion has the nerve to reject me. Is there a conversation that you absolutely have to have or something for him not to reject you at the party? I sound like an absolute maniac typing this, but it is driving me insane I was about to restart, but am too scared to have the same conclusion.

hm Astarion is really programmed to be pleased by Tav's most evil choices. Hence people generally considering him the true evil character in playable origin characters other than Durge.
I cant help much on Astarions romance i never liked him much, but i've had quite a few opportunities and him hitting on me, even after rejecting a bite

I think I found the problem... I physically cannot go against the grove again because even though it is a game it really took a lot out of me to kill so many innocent frightful people, butttt I am still sticking with the declining everything route. I think my biggest problem before was that I kind of rushed through the game to get to the goblin camp. I'm taking my time now and Astarion seems a lot more interested lol.

Nice, and ye people who are really interested in Romance or the characters personal stories, should talk to them more often and take their time to go through events.
Rushing is probably gonna skip a lot of little triggers in the wilderness here and there, where you could have a new interazction and dialogue with the companion

You can easily romance Astarion as a good aligned character. I did it multiple times. He gets a lot of points of approval when you: let him bite you, give him the necromancy of thay, kill gandrel, agree to Abdirak's ummm lesson, in a dialogue about Cazador tell him that you'll have each other backs. You get +5 or +10 points of approval for each of these decisions. He generally likes sarcastic, chaotic dialogues so use them often. And don't rush through the game to finish the goblin camp because you won't be able to get enough approval points from him. Finish the party after you complete the rest of the map and before you go to the Underdark. I usually have over 50pts of approval with him on my good aligned playthroughs before I even start the Underdark.
