Sussur tree bark
About finding it in the Underdark: Does it mean the cave system underneath the forge where you find the instructions? Just asking, because those phase spiders are a huge pain in the ass.

No, the phase spiders and the cave are just one method of reaching the underdark. You have to jump down the chasm if you want to reach this underdark this way. You most likely wont reach the Underdark until later depending on how you play.

Nope, the Underdark is a very big zone which has several entrances. One of which is actually where the spiders are, but there are quite a few others too.

No the Underdark is a much larger underground area accessible from the Temple in the Goblin Camp, the elevator in the Zantherim underground camp, and Ethel's underground lair.

(Those are the main entrances that don't involve jumping blindly into a chasm.)

Nope. It's even lower.
The Underdark is the abyss that lies beneath the caverns with the spiders: there you’ll find the Sussur Tree. One of the possible entrances for the Underdark is where you’re fighting now.
There are multiple ones btw.

Yes.

However, if your not able to deal with the spiders, your likely not ready for some of the various dangers of the Underdark.

I would suggest working your way up until you've dealt with the goblin camp, and found the entrance in the Temple underneath said camp. Then you should be well prepared to deal with not just the spiders, but anything left in the first region before going on to the Underdark.

Yes, there are other ways to reach the Underdark. But the monsters roaming the Underdark are arguably harder than the spiders you fight in the area you're in now.
So... pace your approach, level up, and come back when you're ready :)

Just as a heads up for the location of the bark item you can pick up, don't try to hunt it when you find the tree, just look it up. It's a total pain to find and see, I went past it several times.

There's more than one way into the Undersnark, the spider caverns are just one.

I leave Auntie and the Spiders until I'm Lvl 5. Quite easy by then, both of them.

I usually clean out the phase spiders at lvl 4. Its much easier if you take the path that goes below the boss platform. On first move the spider queen will park themselves in the middle of a web road. Just one plink with a ranged weapon/cantrip to break it and they fall down, losing a massive chunk of life.
