I hate all the companions in Baldurs Gate 3. So...

If you play without them, what is the consequence in the main story?

Shadowheart is unbearable, her way of "Shar this" Shar that" is always sarcastic and unbearable. I can't stand this NPC anymore, seriously.

Gale, I don’t even need to comment, right? He practically only thinks about sex with our character all the time, and keeps asking for items to devour. Such boring and annoying guy, i hate him!

Astarion, this one is a big Insufferable, boring, sinic and liar. He only knows how to talk about Cazador or Blood, a huge bore and idiot. I'm glad I stuck the stake in that idiot's chest and never saw him again in the game.


Lae'Zel. This one behaves like a BG3 fanboy saying the game is GOTY. The difference is that Lazel's GOTY is Vlakith and her people. During the journey, her people are huge aswholes, and she herself is a total pain in the bass. Always talking about that damn gith creche to be our salvation, which never solves any of the problems, and only leads to more battles with those crazy Gith who only care about the damn artifact.

Karlach is simply a nuisance bomb. She thinks she's a 15 year old, acts like a 15 year old, and is really annoying all the time. She doesn't stop saying offensive words for a second and she's a stinking tiefling. Will himself calls her Stink of Avernus.

Will is another annoying guy, always telling lies and wanting his and his father's problems to be resolved. This is when he also doesn't try to make small talk about dancing with the protagonist, already thinking like Gale about having a night of sex! Damn these NPCs, we just want to play the game and not have "sex" crap.


I really hate these characters a lot, they are boring, full of mental problems and only think about sex all the time, is there any way to play without any of them without compromising the original story? I hate them all so much, they are so boring!

Main plot is ok so far. No companions' quests but it's optional.

If you've played the game with them, you should be able to extrapolate how much content will not be there on a solo run.

The best team (Durge, Withers, Scratch and Shovel) is on march.

If you get rid of all the characters there is little point playing the game? You will miss a lot of story development. But really this doesnt sound like the right game for you if you dislike all the characters so much. TBH it doesnt sound like you will like any RPG game.

My problem is not with BG3, but with the companions only. I find them very unbearable and annoying. If I don't play with them, I only block their secondary quests, so that's ok with me!
