It’s literally the price of 2 average meals in a restaurant or fill up an SUV gas tank..

Big deal if you get it for 20$ cheaper you can’t even fill your gas tank with the savings

Indeed, the autumn sale is from 11/21 to 11/28, so yes, a Steam sale is soon (that was what you wanted to know, right). Just don't count on BG3 being discounted.

By now I would say it is never worth to wait this game to be on sale until it gets on sale.
There had been so many sales since the game's Steam release and it was never really discounted. It may continue until late January. Anything earlier is a matter of luck and / or probably insignificant to talk about.

Less successful releases can go on sale fairly quickly. Hugely successful releases, not so much. I'd guess you need to wait a year for a price drop.

There have been some sales, but no Major Sale events. Winter sale and Summer Sale are the two big ones that generally tend to have better sales and more of them. It's a new game if it was ever going to be discounted this year then winter sales would have been the earliest for the game.

If it goes to sale, it will most likely in 21 November since its autumn sale period. If not, you could wait for a winter sale.
This is one of the few games in the industry that justifies the full price tag, but if you wanna wait for a sale, good luck for you OP.

Wait a few days. It'll save ya a few bucks and could use that for dlc if you'd like. It won't be much but every penny counts in the end
