How can I make a better caster/wizard/sorcerer
I dont find enjoying wizard that much, I find it dull. You just cast one spell and that's it where other class can swing their weapons multiple times, throw something, then use ranged weapon and all of that with the option of casting a spell.

Currently, I am at Act 2 and 8 lvls on gale pure evocation wizard. For now, Im looking for a good multiclass build that doesn't stray to the characters lore and found this: https://www.reddit.com/r/BG3Builds/comments/15rryyl/optimized_builds_for_companions/.

Its a Wizard (Divination) 10 / Cleric (Tempest) 2 but someone noted that its better if it split of 6 / Cleric (Tempest) 6 but the authors post is worried about "wizard spell scribing" and 10/2 is just a future proof of the build. So, Im wondering if "wizard spell scribing" still in the game or is it already fixed. But if not then I'll maybe just do that.

My current idea of how I envision my caster/wizard/sorcerer is that it has a mastery in one element like fire, frost, poison, etc. With the ability to combo spells. I tried doing a frost build using the frostmourne weapon, making an ice terrain then casting cloud of daggers combined with Hunger of Hadar with Wyll, but gale was my moonlamp holder so I wasnt able to maximize it yet.

Depends what playstyle you prefer and what you consider boring, I guess. Action economy is obviously huge in the game and it's of course fun seeing big damage numbers, but the advantage for magic classes early on is more around AoE damage and CC. Later on magic classes put out huge damage just the same as other classes.

Multiclassing is the way and there are so many different ways you can do this in BG3 and so the options are numerous. With wizard I would say only 4 classes are viable - evocation, abjuration, necromancer and divination

Evocation is your big damage dealer but any magic caster can kick out big damage with the wet mechanic and cold/lightning spells
Necromancy you can build a mini army
Abjuration you can easily solo the game and is the tankiest build in the game and also causes damage on retaliation, with a specific build...you actually get lots of action economy by using a spell/attack and then causing retaliation attacks just by moving up to and then away melee enemies
Divination can obviously change dice rolls

Metamagic from Sorcerer is arguably one of the most OP mechanics in the game

I would argue the best way to play a magic class is dips into magic classes or multiclassing, but when you do that you have SO many options in how you build and that's pretty fun!!!

If you just want to cast evocation magic with a wizard i've found its definitely better to go sorcerer because of their access to meta magic making their spell slinging have a lot more versatility and burst potential with being able to cast any spell as a bonus action or have a single target spell hit an additional target with twincasting. (this also applies to support spells like haste and invisibility as well). Wizard is more of a toolbox from what I can tell. Being able to learn any spell permanently from a scroll is nice especially from the spells that im pretty sure you can only get from scrolls so otherwise they are a single use and done.

Wizard 1 / Sorcery 11 allows you to pick only combat spells for sorcery and simply swap utils for wizard (like haste / remove curse / misty step / etc). 4 quad wiz/sorc party during 1st turn can place: cloudkill, wall of fire, insect plague and cloud of daggers. Looks kinda funny when dozens of enemies trying to run past that stuff lmao.

If you find yourself using same spell then don't use it? I mainly use fireball, ice storm, cloud of daggers, chromatic orb with create water, sunbeam from that mace for even more memes, chain lighting. And yeah, thanks to the wiz 1 I can always pick some other spell and just meme around with that.

Doesn't matter how many times you can swing your weapon if you get nuked in 1st turn lmao. Idk what's can be funnier than full magic memes. Like disintegrate spell. See that guy? f that guy.

Also disguise yourself spell for even more dialogues and memes.
