Steam Deck Launch issue - anyone else???

I just updated the steam deck with the most recent update and now BG3 just won't launch?? I've tested other games and they work just fine. Anyone else experience this? If so, is there a workaround or am I screwed for this weekend?

same. no issue yesterday, install update this morning and steam deck refuses to boot the game. help?

experimental, hotfix, 8 and 7 tried
tried deleting pso cache
verified game files
tried --skip-launcher and --dx11 flags among others
bug report submitted

Same. No mods. Happened after update. I updated both Steamdeck and BG3. Played fine before the updates, unsure which one caused the issue.
