dark urge race?
just curious, why is dark urge the only origin character that allows you race change? i guess its because it doesnt exist in the game unless you go for him right?

kinda sucks btw lol. wouldve been cool to have him as an origin companion. i guess hes non canon or non lore friendly? i wonder why they excluded him

He's profoundly stupid, though. I'd hate to hear his opinion on anything :steamhappy:

People like edgelords, but not every edgelord is smart. I suppose he appeals to the murderhobo crowd.

Back in the day, Bhaal pretty much nailed everyone regardless of race to ensure his return down the road.

"Bhaal is and always will be a horndog", so sayeth the voyeur Alaundo.

The Dark Urge is clearly the intended custom character, just from the sheer amount of additional story that comes with them. I'm not sure why Tav exists as a separate character, beyond some people not wanting to struggle with their dark impulses (and Noble Durge Paladin is an awesome run, the Origin is not just for the murderhobo crowd).

If it is >>the intended custom character<< then it would have been presented as such, which they are not.

So, when we customize Durge's appearance, we're actually creating the appearance of his last victim before the nautiloid incident, right? Interesting.

not really a spoiler bro. dark urge doesn't exist in bg3 unless you pick him. literally not mentioned anywhere even once

Its an official prequel game, not a fanfic. But it shows exactly why Durge is a white dragonborn.

Emmm... Could you please point out the place, where it says Durge is a shapeshifter and got stuck in the White Dragonborn body? Can not find it. It sounded more like Durge was always a white dragonborn: "Tav was seemingly slain by a white-scaled dragonborn – the Dark Urge, the serial killer on the loose in Baldur's Gate, accompanied by Sceleritas Fel"

reading the entire thread before posting is often a good idea.

If you play as Tav you'll see a white dragonborn who looks exactly like the one you select In the menu, dead and naked besides Orin's bed, labeled as Spawn of Bhaal (or something like that).

Tav will comment "It seems Orin had special fun by torturing this one". In the chest besides the bed and the furniture besides Orin's mom corpse you can find letters and journals written by both Durge and Orin teasing eachother, claiming themselves to be Bhaal's true favorite.

A nice detail.
