Bhaal must be so angry at Orin
Imagine being Orin, a 3rd rate Bhaalspawn who only gets by due to being a Nepo baby having diluted Bhaalspawn blood from her daddy Sarevok who is also her grandfather.

Despite learning the ways of Bhaal from birth she still didn't understand that all he wants is max killings and efficency in them. Bhaal wants his bottom line murders to be in top numbers at all times no matter how it is done, not this artsy blood painting or body part sculptures that Orin was doing.

Yet despite all this Orin had the audacity to betray the Dark Urge who all by himself in his genius created a plan so dastardly and evil that even the Elder Brain was impressed and even respected him. The Dark Urge who was made PURELY by Bhaals blood, who was essentially the creme de la creme of all murderous Bhaalspawn. The perfect balance between murder, cunning, control and power. If anyone was gonna pull off a murderous apocalypse it was this guy. And it was all going so perfectly.

And what does she do? She betrays him because she feels insecure, stuffs a tadpole in him and takes over his place. And guess what? NO ONE LIKES HER. Gortash and Ketheric clearly distaste her and Gortash wanted to see her gone so badly that the moment Durge returned he jumped at the chance to get old gang back togethe rand remove Orin from the equation. All the Bhaalists in the temple complain about her and how she is so loud and noisy and just does her murder art instead of murdering. Even her grandfather, Sarevok, sees her as unworthy as Bhaal's Chosen and thinks her ways are stupid, that she is essentially a poser and wanted the Durge to kill her when they meet.

And the biggest mess up? If you take the redemption Durge route then because of Orin, Durge's mind and fate has been changed and Bhaal's masterpiece of a Bhaalspawn who was suppossed to bring the apocalypse had been changed into a good person. Orin literally made Bhaalspawn's favourite become a hero which then lead to the undoing of the whole plan, the death of Seravok and the Bhaal temple and a major blow to Bhaal on losing not only the plan, his followers, Sarevok but his favourite Bhaal Spawn the Dark Urge.

I am just going to say when Orin meets Bhaal again after we kill her he is gonna have some words for her and she is gonna be soooo screwed.

I did always like the irony that Durge's personality is reset because Orin screwed with his head, so if Durge becomes the hero that undoes the whole plan then it was completely her own fault.

Imagine considering a tocix jerk and insignificant god such as Bhaal as reelevant for anything. A plain murderhobo overused in so many BG installments when there was a much better evil god choice than him.
Bhaal wont be going easy on her in his realm. lol. Even the Dark Urge knows what awaits those followers of Bhaal who displease him; something about being flayed or some such.

Bhaal is extra in exactly the way Orin is. The durge options where you're being a real tryhard evilboy were implanted there by him.

I think the worst part about her and Sarevok is that he's not just her Grandfather, he's also her father. Explains a few things why she is just a lil bit extra ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up.

Imagine the main villain of an ongoing series continuing to be the main villain of the series

of all the things in the game, the Bhaal connection is the one that actually grounds it in the BG series.

He must be mad at her because after granting her the ultimate gift: slayer form , my D Urge slaughtered her with 2 shots in the face without blinking an eye and without her even making a move.

That’s disappointing

She definitely had a cartoonishly-ironic fate, didn’t she?

In my first run, I used an assassin to stealth kill all her ritual casters, and lure her out of the duel arena. Unfortunately, the game didn't consider a proper assassin/tactical approach.
I managed to deny her any advantages in combat, and even override her drama of threatening one of my companions. She died a sad death, without any chance of combat or honor. I guess Bhaal laughed on his throne, watching that sad b*tch go down miserably.
Despite all her plots and schemes, she was nothing more than plot armor.
Really? 7 layers of damage denial, regenerated on each turn?
Her behavior, her reasons, her "role play" got so deranged and twisted, that I didn't even feel her deserving a final showdown. All I wanted was to see her go down the worst way possible.
Ketheric and Raphael are much, much more fun to face-off.

Bhaal is capable of guile and corruption, as shown in the excellent Moonshae isles bookseries. Which got a nod in Bg1 and 2. He had his minion the shapechanging beast Kazgoroth try to corrupt the goddess of the moonshae isles and leading her 3 demigod children astray.

Kazgoroth was slain, but the goddess fell. due to the severe corruption robbing her of power The humans managed to banish the avatar of Bhaal after it manifested in the Moonshae Isles, and it reputedly cost Bhaal a lot of power to recuperate from that misadventure. Imho, the series was written before Bhaal was turned into a more murderhobo god in later years.
The goddess of farming, Chauntea, became the replacement for the for fallen godess.

In Bg1 you can find the horn of Kazgoroth, and it can be transfered to Bg2.
