Did I miss a scene? (big Act 3 spoils)
So yeah huge SPOILERS in this thread.

I met Gortash and found out there was an "imposter in my camp." After a few long rests Halsin wanted to talk to me, and when we talked I was expecting something about the impostor but instead he gave me what appeared to be the usual romantic confession that all your party members seem to give you at some point. So I dumped cold water on him like usual and just moved on. Then later I found out he was the impostor.

Was this just a badly timed coincidence? Or would there have been some cool scene of Orin revealing herself while me & Halsin were doing the nasty? Cause that would have been kinda interesting. If not, I wonder if the game would have just carried on pretending that this was the real Halsin if I went through with that scene. Or if we were reunited later he'd be like "wait, we did WHAT?"

Just wondering cause it raises some interesting questions.

Orin always kidnaps someone from your camp to try to control you. She will never pick a lover tho. If no party mates is eligible, she may kidnap the little girl you might invite to visit in act 3, or simply kill the cat out of spite if noone is eligible to be abducted.

It's a coincidence. I got the same scene with Halsin, but it was Laezel who was kidnapped

What makes people eligible? I head canoned she picked whoever you have most in your party but not at the time.

Who can Orin kidnap bg3?
The best way to get Orin to not kidnap a companion you don't want kidnapped is to have them in your party. The pool of companions that can be kidnapped are Lazael, Halsin, Gale, and then if those three are in your party, she will default to Yenna.

Just seems kinda weird that the game doesn't "pause" those kinds of scenes during the whole impostor arc. I can only imagine how disappointed I'd feel if I had some scene where me and a character made a deep emotional connection and then it turned out not to be them all along, and then when the character did rejoin me again they carried on as though it was them. But maybe this whole plot twist creates a lot of absurdities like that.

Someone you have as your beau will never be eligible to be kidnapped.
