No reason not to get it cheaper if you can.

Depends on how you want to manage the game.

Either is fine. If you use Galaxy, it is pretty much like using Steam. If you don't use Galaxy, then you will have to patch manually and that might be to much of a hassle.

Steam also has the achievements, if that is important to you at all.

Pick your favorite.

I prefer GOG when it's an option. Way better refund policy, no DRM, launcher app optional.

Yes and No. Steam IS a DRM system. But, you don't HAVE to use Steam for BG3. You can launch it directly from the Bin folder (BG3_DX11.exe for DX. Other for Vulcan. Or maybe even that Launcher but have not tried that) without Steam even running. But no Achievement tracking or Cloud Saves when you do that.

Plus, On Gog, it is yours forever, not a licence durability access.
because on Gog it's mean : Game with no DRM ^^

Beyond the Steam app, no, BG3 doesn't have any specific DRM that I know off. But I was speaking in general; GOG has a no DRM policy on the games they sell (which is why they don't have as extensive a library as Steam) and their launcher app is totally optional.

I have both. On GOG.com and on Steam.
Versionwise there is no difference and file management is equally good.

I recommend buying it on GOG.com for easier keeping of versions without being bothered too much by Steam's autoupdates.

Mods work with both version equally good.

Multiplayer is the same too.

Stability and performance have no difference either, considering on both version the same Larian Launcher is used.

Any more questions?

The ability to manually manage which version is running, and being able to restore an older version is a great point. Especially if a person is considering modding the game.

Precisely.
You can do that also on Steam, but the approach is considered more of an advanced mode while with GOG.com offline installers you are good from the start if you do not use Galaxy in auto-management mode.
