Exterminator Axe or Sussur Greatsword: What would you recommend
I´m still pretty inexperienced in this game and need an advice from you guys.

So My main character is a Wildheart Barbarian and I was using the exterminator axe lately, though I have just crafted this mastercraft weapon, a sussur greatsword and was pretty disappointed by the lousy damage it does compared to my axe BUT it silences casters which is a big plus and so I´m not sure what the wisest choice would be.

For sure, carry multiple weapons on your characters in any case. Whomever your front line fighter is should carry the 'Silence Casters' weapon. It takes one Action to switch weapons in combat.

For instance, my LZ Fighter carries a Polearm type for general combat and a large Hammer type for knocking down walls.

So, pick your favorite.

Wyll get one of the best Rapier for a while at the Grimforge, beside that it doesnt matter which weapon you choose since you can get in Act 2 a +4 Weapon (depending on your Class) which makes every other weapon trivial until you reach Act 3.

EDIT: Take the weapon you like the most, the game is pretty easy and doesnt get harder. If you play on Tact. its maybe diff. for you, however you can always pre position your character during dialogues so ... even in Tact. Mode you shouldnt be worried about your Weapon.

Drag them both to your hotbar and click to equip as most appropriate. (You'll end up with whole equipment suites before too long.)

Please don´t tell me you can craft this weapon at the grymforge because I have already wasted my two options to craft a medium armor for shadowheart and a mace for me in case I need one. I´m still not completely done with this area and I was already hoping to finally get something better for wyll so my question in this case is : Can i find this weapon or have I missed a mold for the grymforge on my journey?

the greatsword is better in any case but plants less damage, however a +1 instead of +0 is usually better

the Axe

Yea I guess I´ll stick to my trusty axe and keep the sussur greatsword just in case I have to silence a caster who is annoying.

No clue what weapons he's referring to, but definitely not the Adamantine crafted ones. You can't even make a Rapier there.

Sussur weapons are completely useless, just throw them away and forget about their sad existence. You dont know what battles have strong magicians, and thus Sussur is only useful in some situations if you know the game inside out and where the mage enemies are. Mages are usually easy to kill anyway when you get to the melee distance. Sussur is nothing but false promises via a quest, to get a lousy +1 weapon.

Heavy armor (splint) is the best thing to forge at Grymforge, it can last even until act 3. Medium armor is also good. All the Grymforge weapons are trash.

I usually end up making the Sussur Dagger, actually. There's an abundance of good 2-handers in the game, but not as many daggers and you're usually going to want to dual-wield them as well. Having a high-mobility class like rogue be able to sprint behind lines and turn off wizard-artillery is better than it sounds.

The best GS in the first chapter is actually the silver sword of the astral plane you can get from Voss with using disarming strike on him (high str will lead to a 90%+ success rate while invis). The additional psychic damage appears if you are a githyanki or disguise as a githyanki.

Then you can get the everburning blade from the campion on the nautilod if you use command: drop on him with shadowheart and pick it up. Only downside is, you can't coat the weapon, because it's perma burning.

Then another rarely mentioned one is svartlebee's woundseeker. One of the flaming fists bashing the door in waukeen's rest has it. You get a bonus 1d4 attack roll on enemies that were allready damaged.

Then of course blooded greataxe you can buy or steal from Roah in the goblin sanctum. It deals bonus damage if you are below 50% health what is good, if you are a half orc and don't die if you go down the first time and have someone cast blade ward on you.

Yes I have noticed this. When I was fighting this mage Nere at the Grymforge, who btw dropped the beforementioned rapier, I tried the sussur greatsword on him and successfully silenced him only for him to cast as if nothing had happened. Gonne toss this useless sword into the next river..

What weapon are you refering to? I suspect you are mixing up the enchantment bonus with the added damage bonus. Theres no higher than +3 weapons in the game and they are legendary quality. Theres none in act2 to my knowledge. Theres the Blood of Lathander in act1, and if you are willing to savescum and do an elaborate setup, you can aquire Silver Sword of the Astral Plane in act 1 as well.
