I think almost anything you can summon will not trigger the bibberbangs.
Just wanted to come back to say thank you. Your method did work.
I'd like to add that I am a ranger beastmaster with a longbow. I summoned raven and they were able to drag the pack to him.
For example if you don't save the dwarf but save the noblestalk the quest accounts for that and it affects outcome.
If you save the dwarf but not the noblestalk it accounts for that and it affects outcomes.
If you save neither the game accounts for that and it's arguably the worst outcome.
If you save both and give the noble stalk to the dwarf you find out just what kind of man he was and that affects the outcome.
And if you save both and choose to let her have the noblestalk that affects the outcome.
So if you really want to save the noblestalk, a good way to do it is use mage hand, it's like the only thing in the entire game mage hand is actually useful for. Otherwise you just have to be careful and observant and maybe quicksave before the attempt.
But remember even if the spores go off you still have time before they reach the fire, it's the fire that destroys the noblestalk not the spores. Keep a finger on the pause button to give yourself time to think and react if that happens.
Getting the noblestalk is super simple in turn-based mode. Just run there and grab it and run back. The mushrooms won't get you. No need for spells or potions or platforming or sending in Glut.
However, using that noblestalk for yourself is your one chance to get a memory back from Shadowheart, and the recovered memory explains something that you discover in the House of Grief. Worth doing once.
Are you really banned or is this a tag?
"Wtf! I just spent 4 hours fumbling around and then lost all of that progress because i didn't save and something bad happened due to sheer bad luck or the unpredictability of the plot!
I hate this game forever now!"
Chad savescum d&d player:
"Lemme just make a save before combat, in middle of combat, after combat, before every quest and afterwards too, and neatly organize them. This way i can spend more time actually enjoying myself and less re-doing everything when something goes wrong."
