I will likely buy the game in the next couple weeks, however I cannot for the life of me look at her face and not experience utter disgust, like it sets off some kind of trypophobia, it's absolutely vile. Surely there are mods that make her look more or less normal, right guys?

There's a few mods that modify her facial structure. I think we'll have the ability to change our companion's features on the game's full release... So you won't have to worry too much about it.

Also helmets. Put a metal bucket over her head and and you won't have to look at her lol

There is a mod but she looks horrible. I like how she looks the way she is, but everyone's taste is for themselves in the end.

Why couldn't they just have made her look like that? It may be too 'normal' for some, but I'll bet most people don't have to strain their brain just to see it on screen. I hope there aren't people that look like her irl cause then I'd feel rude but more sorry for them at the same time. What a horrible fate it would be to endure that face from birth.

if you are talking about the nose thing lots of people have upturned nose and you have more and more rhinoplasty going wrong.. Those make your nose turn upwards as well... and yes it is rude no doubt about it, but hey it's internet so it's cool.

It seems quite a lot worse than just that. It's completely out of proportion in terms of size, height and general shape. Not to mention the skin texture and patterns. Makes me ill just thinking about it.

I get if the OP is having a unique awkward reaction, but as someone who values characters that are both interesting and unique, the last thing I'd want to do is make a unique race of a character to force it into looking "like everyone else..." Bleh.

Quite an interesting thread.

For the record, I personally find her to be perfect the way she is.

However your issue is far larger than just Lae'zel if she disgusts you so extremely, because all of Githyanki share the same facial features and there are plenty you will meet in BG3. So you'd basically need a mod that overhauls an entire race, not just Lae'zel. So if it truly bothers you so much, I'd rather wait and see if such a mod ever comes out. Otherwise your only option might be to just get used to it.

She's a githyanki. That's part of the experience. She even makes comments about her appearance during dialog. It's part of the game.

As a tryopophobe myself, it's the "freckles" on gith faces that slightly resemble pock marks on skin.

It's not that bad, but there is a slight hint of trypo in them.

Make your main a fighter or melee ranger and leave Laezel at camp. You don't actually have to use her except during the tutorial.
