So, is it ready?
So, i've waitied a looooong time since release. Is this game COMPLETE and PLAYABLE?

Please, bear in mind I'm from the 80s, played next to everything major and minor, ofc the first 2 chapters and I do have expectations that goes well beyond graphics and cool moves and ♥♥♥♥. I need a lot of substance, no-♥♥♥♥ attitude, very well polished, and most importantly cohesion with the immersion level i do expect. Heard of lgbtq+-x/. Would be best if it could be turned off, but at least i hope it'll be marginal. If i want a porno I have all the choice i want on the net, included videogames. I'm looking for a SOLID "old way" gdr.

Is this the case? I have enough ♥♥♥♥ to endure in the new world each ♥♥♥♥♥♥ day.

Thanks for your time and answers

After this post, i BEG you. Do not buy the game, you don't deserve it. (i'm from the 70s btw)

its not going to be like the first 2 chapters, different studios too much time has passed.
its a good game in its own right, and the returning characters from the chapters have been handled well. if you can come into it with a fresh mindset it'll be a good time with more than a few callbacks for you to enjoy.

if your expecting more of the traditional gameplay its gone. id recommend tactician difficulty (the hardest) if youll want any sort of challenge however. this game is kind of a power fantasy if you have any idea how to build a party.

lgbtq+ is only in character creation it doesnt have to exist in your game.

Game is complete storywise, there is just a few more subclasses added in next patch that will be the last big one but might take some time to be ready, I would rather advise you to dive in right now as it's a Masterpiece !

You probably won't like the personality of most of the default companions as most of them are quite young drama-queens of both sexs with lots of traumas, but you can choose to keep only those you like and kill or abandon the others and replace them if needed by silent hirelings that you can mold to your liking.

I also second the recommandation for Solasta, best implementation ever of the D&D rule system and a more classic style of game that might be more to your liking than the florishing exuberance of BG3.

Nice, that's helpful information, thanks! I'll wait for the next big patch tho.

Good to know, thanks a lot :)

I personally think that people like you dont deserve to play this game. There are more than 600 000 reviews on Steam already. You could easily get your answers from there but you didnt bother because then you could not brag about your "high expecations" and how you need "substance"... noone cares.

Can you read? Because thousands of people have already answered your questions.
Wow, how can someone be so salty over a simple question? The game was a bug-riddled mess for many months after release. This is a discussion page — people are entitled to talk about the game as much as they want. But here you are, acting like: 'You don't deserve to play this game' and 'no one cares.' Yet you still bothered to fart your petty, sour comment in here.

Nice job.

what old way?
Like in the Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura (rpg game from 2000)
where you can become a prostitute at Madam Lil's? ( :
another example of the "old way" Fallout 2 (1998 game) when main character is female you can get jet for "free" if you do some hard "work" for some man
nah you cant do that in bg3
stop acting like 16yo and just play the game
:rfacepalm:

Yes exactly, that's the point. "Where you CAN" (and' you'll admit that those were rather secondary paths in those games, but yeah, i remember those - besides, they weren't anything more than cosmetics, and not that common in the rest of the game)

What I'm afraid of is to be costantly buggered with forced romantic lgbt stuff way too often for what I'd expect in a fantasy game focused on story and maybe combat. And i'd expect none, tbh.

Yes, I want to go back and play in a fantasy setting where none of the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ outside world is PULLED FORCEFULLY INSIDE MY BRAIN.

There will be no meaning in playing a game that is as ♥♥♥♥♥♥ as the real world, don't you think? I need to estraniate myself, i do NOT need any teen magical cool move that always win, i do NOT want to be held by hand till the final boss with any "this combat is too difficult for you, shall i lower the difficulty?" i do NOT want to have to endure the ♥♥♥♥ i endure everyday without having the chance to say "no, now you die and my world will be better"

I'm from the 70s. I enjoyed BG3. I avoid romances in games. They're pointless. Avoided them in this game, too.

Thanks all for the answers, guess I'm gonna give it a full try after this last patch will come out. AND i will look more at Solasta. Thanks again to those who (still) understand ;)

We just got an announcement that the patch will be out next Tuesday (the 15th) so you won't have to wait long !

Thanks, but I'll leave them a few weeks of hotfixing, then I'll go down on it for real ;)
OP seems the think that BG3 was made by Bethesda. The game was "done and ready" a year and a half ago.
Yeah. I haven't played since a few months after it's release when I first beat it and am waiting for the next update to start fresh. The qol they added up to know is worth starting fresh. But honestly just wait for the next update I think it's the last major one.

Stabbed at Solasta, kept wishing i was playing BG3.

Edit:
BG3 have been complete for a while now. Mainly when they added more evil endings. Larian consistently ruled out expansions/dlcs.

The upcomming 12 subclasses was a suprise noone expected.
