So, is it ready?
So, i've waitied a looooong time since release. Is this game COMPLETE and PLAYABLE?

Please, bear in mind I'm from the 80s, played next to everything major and minor, ofc the first 2 chapters and I do have expectations that goes well beyond graphics and cool moves and ♥♥♥♥. I need a lot of substance, no-♥♥♥♥ attitude, very well polished, and most importantly cohesion with the immersion level i do expect. Heard of lgbtq+-x/. Would be best if it could be turned off, but at least i hope it'll be marginal. If i want a porno I have all the choice i want on the net, included videogames. I'm looking for a SOLID "old way" gdr.

Is this the case? I have enough ♥♥♥♥ to endure in the new world each ♥♥♥♥♥♥ day.

Thanks for your time and answers

Well, it is complete as is right now, but they are adding new stuff in the near future with patch 8. You can wait until it's released or you can play right now. Either way is fine.

The game is extremely playable right now, yes. And honestly will be in a better state than when patch 8 comes out. Not as me saying patch 8 will break the game or anything but ya know how it is, things are missed with a game of such an obscene scale, so hot fixes WILL happen.
Larian taking time and not rushing this out is something to be confident about, but even then, BG3 is a huge game.

I personally think that people like you dont deserve to play this game. There are more than 600 000 reviews on Steam already. You could easily get your answers from there but you didnt bother because then you could not brag about your "high expecations" and how you need "substance"... noone cares.

Can you read? Because thousands of people have already answered your questions.

Okay, guess I'm still young, can wait another year or two.

If I wanted to watch morons living on their videos taking 30 mins just to tell me "it's strawberry flavored" between the lines, weel, I wouldn't have asked here. I may still be young, but i'm not planning to get old listening to every moron who bought himslef a webcam and a fancy hat hoping to become rich singing ♥♥♥♥. AND I don't want to spoil anything form the game on any videos. Didn't even wathced the trailer yet. I want its virginity ;)

Oh, and I asked a question exactly because I don't want to go throu zillionbytes of text.
Despite being a huge D&D fan with Baldurs Gate 1 and 2, Neverwinter Nights and Planescape Torment all ranking high on my favourite games of all time list, I've only just bought BG3 now.

Mainly it was because I wanted to play the whole game (not EA) at first but I was also worried it would not live up to my expectations as a sequel to BG1 and 2 and the more I read about all the "romance" stuff I got more put off. That stuff ruined the Dragon Age series for me, not even bothered with last one.

So far it seems pretty good, story seems interesting and it gives lots of ways to complete every objective which I was the best parts of Planescape Torment. Not getting constantly hit on either, hopefully if you just say "no thanks" once, we can just play our game.

By the way have you looked at Solasta (also D&D), its very different to this game but I love it, better suited to a strategy player perhaps.

What a weird long post about being homophobic.

Dude nobody cares that you're a homophobe. Just play the game or don't. All romances are completely optional regardless of your sexual orientation.

Thanks for the pertinet answer :)

I hate EA games too, too many variations and "fixes" on the fly for my taste. Just do the damn game already as they did once I say. nvm that. Anyway, such is the gaming world today.

I saw Solasta but didn't really catch my attention, I'll give it a deeper look, thanks :)

So much free time, one day you'll regret to have wasted it like this, trust me :)

It was ready since day one of the release and it was awesome on day one.
It only got better.

You really need to hear your own advice.

Added you to block list with all the other cringe rightwing culture warriors who don't actually want to play video games and just want to complain about other people being happy.

I was looking for other advice here. But thanks.

Game is complete storywise, there is just a few more subclasses added in next patch that will be the last big one but might take some time to be ready, I would rather advise you to dive in right now as it's a Masterpiece !

You probably won't like the personality of most of the default companions as most of them are quite young drama-queens of both sexs with lots of traumas, but you can choose to keep only those you like and kill or abandon the others and replace them if needed by silent hirelings that you can mold to your liking.

I also second the recommandation for Solasta, best implementation ever of the D&D rule system and a more classic style of game that might be more to your liking than the florishing exuberance of BG3.

Hi you'll be amazed to know that the game is ready and released since August 2023.
Now reading your OP i think the game isn't for you.
Have a nice day.

2600+ hrs in the game. Still playing it. Been doing so since launch on August 3 2023. It's been playable all this time. Some minor bugs, glitches at times. Which have been easily fixed with a reload of a save or the game. None have been game breaking.

Have finished the game 12 times. Numerous runs I never finished.
