drop the exploding part and youre left with less exploitable dmg.
as for realism.. i dont think theres that much pressure in a wooden barrel, no need for an extreme explosion.
the only downside would be that it would feel less like a DOS game.
Leave it as an option for those who want to do something silly.

this is just a thing you can do in D&D, its not a big deal, if you choose to load up on barrels, then thats on you
Its part of the game universe. Having exploding barrels in living quarters isn't something people do.
as opposed to "whats this guy doing spreading 20 barrel around me? bah must be fine."
they actually do respond. I placed a barrel and a NPC picks it up and stored it in their inventory lol.
lol why are you such a die hard fan why why ??? You know that barrels don't work like that at all in BG 3 they are totally utterly broken for multitude of reason. Why can't you admit that???
