Report a translation problem
The problem is that firebolt is way more than 1d6. My experience is that firebolt usually does 2d4 from the fire terrain it spawns (and this happens even if it misses!) + 1d6, so it's actually usually doing more like 3-14 damage (and 2-8 of that damage happens even when it misses).
Eldritch Blast is the only cantrip that exists in my world!
It's just OP in the current form. It's supposed to give you 1d4 bonus for your next skill check but the effect is active for 10 rounds.
2 instance you can use it that i know of,
Disguise as drow before gobelin ... its a free pass
Disguise as Githyanki before the Gith Patrol.
there is probably more but havent found them.
Second best: Dancing Lights for all the peasants in my team who don't have Darkvision.
