Trick to 'recast speak with dead'?

So I've casted 'speak with dead', and Gale has a buff listed that says I can recast it, but the icon in my hotbar says I need to have a 'long' rest. I could have sworn yesterday, I was able to cast it multiple times, but not today for some reason.

Is there some trick to reusing that spell without resting?

There should be a new icon that says, recast speak with dead.
It's the same icon image but circular shaped in the hotbar.

I thought the amulet you got in the temple let you recast the spell as much as you wanted.

I turned off auto-adding things into the hotbar because it gets kind of ridiculous with so much stuff in there, so that is why I'm probably not seeing it... I'll turn spells back on and see if that works.

You should be able to just see it in your spell list in that menu, I think.

just pres K it opens up all the spell and abilities find it there and add it to hot bar

Pro tip, once you cast the spell once all dead bodies that you can speak to will have a green shimmer on them.

not true there are other conditions that need to hit as well..

It’s been bugging me for ages, too. But, I’ve finally worked it out - yay!!!

You have to use the Radial Customisation menu and specifically add ‘Recast Speak With Dead’, which it turns out is a separate spell to ‘Speak With Dead’.

If unsure about how, on PS, it’s:
- right bumper to open the radial menu
- find an empty spot on a radial* and highlight it, then press square
- choose Set Slot
- scroll down until you find Speak Woth Dead, and select Recast Speak With Dead which is right next to it

You now have both, and when one greyed out, the other is visible!

* If there are no empty spots on a radial, press square and select Add Radial first
