The real D&D nerds know this. If you don't like the DM, you go somewhere else. Esp if the DM is an AI that is unlikely to adjust for your complaints. A person could compromise.
Can't blame them. All these videos games trying to emulate the tabletop are a disgrace.
Dungeons and Dragons Online is an embarrassment and they are actually using the full name.
Can you imagine if this game was called Dungeons & Dragons: Divinity or something like that.
My god, there'd be an X-class solar flare burning a radioactive hole through these forums.
Steam would cease to exist.
Just skip over those threads, I was engaging with them a bit but it's not worth it. Just ignore it. It's clear none of them actually read the DMG.
I've seen a ton of different opinions from 5e PnP players. Some like BG3, some dislike it, some explaining rules to non-players, etc. Some justify BG3 issues using 5e rules, others complain about BG3 using the rules. Some say it feels like D&D, others that it doesn't. Some help explain to non-players how the rules work. Others how it should work. Others find bugs (rules differences). Some are 5e fans and "purists" to the rules. Others, just want it to feel like 5e. Others point out issues where they feel a change works or doesn't work. I've seen everything.
And I can see multiple takes in the same post.
One advantage that 5e nerds have is a reference. They can report bugs if it isn't implemented based on the 5e rules. They can also use experience for issues which changes are more likely to be issues or look for rules issues if something seems off. They can apply some PnP knowledge to improving the game. For example, most experienced DMs know tricks to speed up combat, design encounters, etc.
Is there some snobbery against people who don't know the rules... sure. Given a million people, someone is a jerk. However, as often I see players trying to offer help, suggestions, counter arguments, etc. which might look like jerks simply as they come with a different set of knowledge.
Yes i can think of something worse than Alt right, that would be people like you that have to bash people that don't share your political view. How about keeping politics out of these threads because there is plenty of fault in all ideologies in politics.
No there have been some, there are a crap load of these post. Way to many lol.
I fixed it. Plus it flows better if you keep the "nerds" pattern.
