Warlock what does having bonus charisma do for you?
Wondering what the point of having a high charisma for the warlock does for you as it doesn't seem to give them bonus spells like the other casters

It gives you improved hit chance with spells. It improves some spells. It increases damage of the Edricht Blast with an invocation you can take on level 2.

You should max charisma on Warlock.

Spell have various stat modifiers, some spells scale with cha others with wis and so on.

It also makes you a solid "face" character, so you can rock all those persuasion/deception rolls.

Thank's
Figure affected saves but was kind of expecting the extra spells like other caster classes get.

Other then spell selection what does the warlock get over like the wizard? Think extra HP but if it's a caster along the lines of wizard other then the HP what's making it special or getting in place of bonus spells?

you get your slots back on a short rest and have spells that others will not have access to normally.

This is true... except half the persuasion/deception rolls all have DCs of 15 to 20 before you're charisma modifiers, so with the RNG, it's still not actually anything to write home about.

A common mistake.

Forget evrything you knew until this point. In BG3 it works like this:

1) If you are a warlock, wiz etc. You will have a prof in a certain stat (int. char, dex)

2) When you cast a spell it wil roll your int/char/dex vs that target. If target has low int/char/Dex cool and you win. Your INT vs their INT. This is why your % is different from target to target.

3) Physical/ranged attack? This is all vs Armor Class (AC). If target has 15 armor, and you got 19 dex, you will most likely hit him. It's just your prime stat vs their AC.

Sometimes your "INT" spell will do more than your "STR" strike. And vise versa.

4) Armor: The demon! Higer armou = you hit it less. Same goes for you. If you have more armor they will hit you less (spells and hits).

who needs short rest when you can get a full rest everytime you stub your toe without any consequences ;)

make a 4 wizzards team and full rest every fight no problem!

Not true. There are a bunch of 10 rolls that get knocked down to 5.

As for Warlocks, Warlocks have a few spells that hit like trucks. The standard Hex + Eldritch Blast combo is reusable all day so long as your concentration is not broken. Misty Step plus Arms of Haldar (something like that) for teleport into middle of enemies followed by 3d6 AOE Necrotic damage. Etc. Oh and you get to summon a familiar, such as an imp, from L3. Imps are pretty strong, roughly equivalent to another character at that level. To put it another way, imps have a challenge rating of 1 so a full party of L1 chars vs 1 imp would be a balanced fight on challenge rating, though not in terms of action economy.

Warlocks make great faces, pump out crazy damage and are pretty tough, at least a Fiendish one, thanks to Dark One's Blessing. Not sure what exactly the trade-offs are between GOO and Fiend as implemented in BG3 currently. They lack the utility of either sorcerers or wizards though. Certainly a wizard like Gale (sorcerers aren't in currently obviously) will add far more utility to the party.

If the Hexblade subclass ever gets implemented, then Warlocks will make perfect gishes. Like unmatched if you want that spellblade feel.

Also in later Levels the Warlocks Class abilitys allow him to cast chosen Spells without using Spellslots or other weird effects you can choose from. Biggest Strength is probably that it's very customizable and you can make a lot of very different Warlocks
