if you fight the hag/auntie ethel and get her to 10 hp or less she surrenders offering you a deal to increase an ability point by 1, if you accept you get her hair.

wouldnt surprise me if it just didnt work.
the other dude that teaches you self harm is supposed to give you a buff at the end (theres an animation for the powerup too) but nothing changes at all.

The Ability Point +1 is marked by the devs in brackets. Meta for the player you could say. She doesn't tell you and trick you.

Could see that bug being implemented on purpose for the time being and one of the last to be corrected.

Plus one to any stat could let you get to 20 main stat at lvl 4 with a race letting you start at 17 in main stat. They really seem to want to prevent players from hitting that cap in EA if you ask me.

I saw that, but I also wouldn't be surprised if it was intentional just to mess with people, I would do it if I was a game designer!!

Ethel: Ill make you stronger.
[You eat the hair]
Narrator: You feel nothing has changed.

Not as:

Ethel: Ill make you stronger. [Ability point 1]
