No spiritual weapon for clerics?
Only 5e nerds will get this but...common! Why dont clerics have their spiritual weapon? Its a spell from the players handbook, a true original~
It makes me wonder how early access this game truly is and I hope they implement all the spells from the phb at least, and maybe some from zge, that book did add some really nice adjustments

Would you really burn a spell for one combat so you can have a weak weapon? You get at least 3 nice cleric usable weapons early on, making it moot after the level 1 area. Sure, options, put it in, but would anyone cast it, ever?

I can use both at the same turn~ players have used this spell a ton in the past, and will do so in the future for good reason, its one of the best low level clerics spells

I think you have a misunderstanding how Spiritual Weapon works, it is one of the best cleric spells and its absence is one of the reasons people currently think clerics are one of the weaker classes.

Spiritual Weapon:
"You create a floating, spectral weapon within range that lasts for the Duration or until you cast this spell again. When you cast the spell, you can make a melee spell Attack against a creature within 5 feet of the weapon. On a hit, the target takes force damage equal to 1d8 + your Spellcasting Ability modifier.

As a Bonus Action on Your Turn, you can move the weapon up to 20 feet and repeat the Attack against a creature within 5 feet of it."

This gives a level 3 cleric the ability to attack twice a turn for an entire combat scenario, something a fighter can't even do until level 5. Also the spell doesn't require concentration.

Spiritual Weapon helps firmly cement clerics as damage dealers in their own right. Hopefully it gets added in soon.

Spiritual Weapon is wildly important for clerics and needs to be in the game.

It's a level 2 spell that is sorely missed. I was waiting to get it until I realised that it wasn't implemented yet. Hope Larian puts it in the game soon

I guess it would mess with AI systems, since its an attacker with no hitpoints (cannot be killed) that can deal damage while the cleric hides somewhere close.

The BG3 version will surely add a poisend Area effect on the Ground too. So it will be awesome!!!!

Wouldn't it basically function like a damage dealing Mage Hand? There's plenty of objects in the game already that have infinity hit points, so if they just program Spiritual Weapon like that it would be fine. - I say all this with like, 0 knowledge on programming, so I hope it can be done :O

Are there any spells in the game that have a Duration (greater than instantaneous) but do not require Concentration? This could be the reason that Spiritual Weapon was not initially included. Mage Armor, for example, lasts 8 hours and does not require Concentration but the Duration is, effectively, "until your next Long Rest."

No spiritual weapon? OOOooooo Jester would be pissed.

I see. It used to only make a weapon in-hand, (older editions) -- it was part of the cleric's undead fighting role as undead (anything serious) often required a +1 or better weapon to damage them at all, so you always had a way to fight undead even at low levels.
This is more like dancing weapon high level mage spell -- which is much more powerful.
