You can...

Though I have thoroughly enjoyed the well done cinematics so far, I also believe we should have the option to skip them if we've already seen them. Especially the intro.

You can skip every intro and every cinematic, every cutscene every dialog interaction.

Have you tried pressing esc?

You can speed run the game in less than 6 minutes. You can literally just run through everything into the control room and be done with the tutorial in like 20s.

That would be nice. After the 10th time it gets kind of old. Like Chateau Irenicus.

Yeh, for myself. I like to make a character for each arch-type...so going through the tutorial 7 times is just a task I do not want to take.

Thanks again all. Sorry for the confusion.

WUTTTTTT? have you done this?
I doubt you can get through it all in 20s...maybe 20 minutes?

There is a video of a guy beating it in just over 7 min, the tutorial is pretty fast, he never fought anything. I can tell you how to skip most of it.

After you meet Lae'Zel instead of going inside the ship you can go just to the left of the opening with jumping, up the side of the ship on to the deck. The cutscene with the dragon knocking a peice off will play. Then instead of going inside again were the pods are you can jump into the helm from the deck and get the transponder instantly. I am usure if you can actually do this with a normal character though, the player was a Gith, they have a better jump ability, perhaps with considerable strength.

This of course is kind of an exploit and you wil be missing out on any loot or XP from this. There was a "skip the ship tutorial" mod in DOS2 so that might make a return, but I wouldn't expect it until after release.

Thanks all for the tips. I am going to try them out. Great thing about this game is the many ways it allows you to get from A to Z. I do hope we get the option to skip in the future. But in retrospect, it is because I roll so many characters to start that the opening becomes a bore.

cheers

I just hate how slow the ship part is, and how laggy it is
my game consistently freezes up when Leh drops down and at the top of the stairs right after
