calm down with the elves.
i like this game and it's character creator, but chill with elves will you?
githyanki(not even gonna try to spell that right, i'm sorry), drow, elf, and half elf are all seperate races, and i'm not a lore expert but from just looking at them githyank and drow could've just been elf sub races.

Elder scroll games same thing they had dark elf, high elf,and wood elf a total of three elf races with one human, lizard and orc race.
I think it's because the concept of elf's. Is usually them being the elders of the planet being the original first race of existence. In most lore Seems like some were actually part of there planet instead of just being born from it. In our world they would be more in the position humans With our diverse layers of races and cultures.

Its even bigger in elder scrolls since Orcs are a sort of elf in that universe (and even the dwarfs btw, but they are gone).

"mer" being elf.
(Orcs) Orsimer
(Dark Elves) Dunmer
(Dwarves or Deep Elves) Dwemer
(Snow Elves) Falmer
(High Elves) Altmer
(Wood Elves) Bosmer
(Sea Elves) Maormer
Etc.

Even Bretons are said to be humans with some elven blood mixed in.

Drows are degrade version of elves TBH. There are old book about elves called Cormanthyr.
Pretty much explanations there for example Gold elves have most high lifespan up 800 years while drow rarely reach over 400. Eladrins... they are more elflike then true elves.

The Eladrin are true elves, though? They just got stuck in the Feywild in the aftermath of the war between Corellon and Lolth.
They still outsiders technically.
WoTC really messed game lore with last editions. Dragonborn from nowhere for example.

This is completely wrong. Drow lifespan is roughly 700-1000. The only reason many don't live over 400 is their chaotic environment. ie. They murder each other, if they're dying at 400 it's from being killed, not old age.

It is stated in multiple sources that they don't tend to live past 400 because of their violent society, Drow that manage to reach +250 something are likely considered a elder just because he/she manage to survive, Drows don't tend to die from old age.

The drow started to show signs of aging when their age neared 600. One of those signs consisted of their hair growing thin, and turning yellow in females, and silver or grey in males.[54]"

Forgotten realms is based on a modified D&D setting, its not always the same.

Forgotten Realms is the original source material of drow.

Forgotten Realms world predates D&D.
Ed Greenwood created the world back in 1967.

You're using woefully outdated source material. The 5E PHB clearly states that all elves have a lifespan of about 750 years. It also makes no distinction for the drow subrace being any different.

Well, in the Neverwinter MMO, they specifically point out that the Dragonborn are not native to the world (i.e Setting), but rather they got sucked through a portal to a different world (i.e Setting).

It is not impossible for the settings of D&D to cross over with each other. D&D Online also introduced this concept, by having Lolth from the Forgotten Realms try to invade the world of Eberron.

The different settings are contained within their own crystal spheres that exist within the same multiverse as each other. Traveling from one crystal sphere to another is very difficult, but not completely impossible.

So you can have races like Warforged walking around the Forgotten Realms, Greyhawk, Dragonlance, est. If they found a way to travel from Eberron, to those universes.
Thats piano in bushes. WoTC started act like GW recently including allowing sick imagination of book authors becoming offical lore. Nothing i can do about that. All for the crowd amusement.
