Question about creating a PC warlock
Sorry if its a noob question, but Im trying to find what Im missing in respect to my PC warlock not being able to use rapiers like Wyll does at lvl 3. The creation is ok since it uses simple weapon proficiency, but when I met Wyll and he was using a rapier, I want to do the same to my char, just cant seem to give him the martial proficiency by lvl 3 like Wyll does; am I missing something or is he being able to use the rapier exclusive to him as a character?

Techincally you can still use a rapier as a Warlock, you just have a much harder time hitting anything because you lack proficiency - just like in the tabletop.
But unfortunately, Wyll is unique in the regard of weapons he can use. There's currently no way for a Warlock to gain proficiency with rapiers - I assume this is because they wanted to make Wyll a Pact of the Blade Warlock, but that subclass isn't available in the early access yet.

There is one way however: A drow naturally gets proficiency with rapiers, so a drow warlock can do just that.

Thank you very much for the help :)
Yeah I thought they were going for that subclass, but it was strange that he could do it while my PC char couldnt. Cant wait then to try him out as my main char once the full game is out.
Yeah as Stefan says, if you roll a drow you can do it, but that's the only way to be able to do it before level 4 with any effect. Honestly drow make amazing warlocks.
