Not saying I agree with the notion, but an Easter Egg would indeed be hard to find (that's kinda the point), and thus limiting it to a singular possible disguise makes perfect sense.

As Orion said, it wouldn't make sense to put an Easter Egg on every single option of disguise self, since that would be pretty easy to find, and Githyanki, alongside dragonborn, would count amongst the least humanoid races to choose for the spell.

Also, it was, in fact, a joke, not a serious speculation.

I have never actually seen this bug and only read about it. As a male I never had a reason to disguise as a female (or be naked for that matter) so it was never an issue for me.
