Baldur's Gate 3

Statistiche:
Can't use 3rd party mods?? What's wrong with in-game mod manager?
I played with 3rd party mods in my main game (Nexus mods using BG3 Mod Manager extension), and now 3rd party mods don't work! I had to delete my save because it was so broken!! Now, I'm looking through the mod manager in the game to see if I can find similar mods, and I can't even get past page 10 in any category; it just resets me back to page one. How am I supposed to use this if I can't look at anything past page 9 out of 42 pages?! I'm so disappointed that I lost my game, and now I can even enjoy BG3 the way I used to.

They do work, you just need to know what you're doing.
They've been working for me. Maybe your third party mods are interfering with the in-game ones somehow.

Well, I don't. It shouldn't be difficult, or you "just need to know what you're doing" for them to work. It was easy to use the extension, so it should be the same situation for people with basic or no idea of modding the game. I had no clue how to use anything when I first played, but it was still easy and straightforward to get the hang of it. Now it's confusing and I lost all of my ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ progress dude.
The devs cannot support all the old mods from all places, they have no control over what they are all doing or what files they edit etc. However the mods in the game are more controlled but maybe contact support if you think the game mod manager isn't working properly.

I went through all of my mods one by one, even got rid of the character customization mods to be sure and it didn't allow me to even enter my basic modded games. When I tried to make a new game with like three of my 3rd party mods it kept saying I couldn't because I had 3rd party mods installed. I don't have much modding knowledge passed the basic directions if followed so I don't know what else to do to fix them, even though I personally don't think it should be anymore difficult.

I assumed as much, hopefully the mods get transferred in-game or something. I'll contact support but it looks like the page bug is happening to more than one person from my research. Thanks.

Looks like the developers are blocking third party mods..

They are not.
They were working for me a couple hours ago. Sometimes it apparently helps to delete the mod config file stored in the Larian folder

C:\Users\USER\AppData\Local\Larian Studios\Baldur's Gate 3\PlayerProfiles\Public

(Make sure you can view hidden files if you have not enabled that yet/already)

Thats where mine is located, its seperate from the Steam game app directory. Maybe give that a shot, reload all your mods and hope for the best. I would also like to ask if you are using the improved UI for patch 7, that may affect things and even if you load it through BG3MM, you still have to go into the built in mod manager and make sure its on within BG3. Im not a pro with mods and such, these are just a couple things I have picked up. I might also recommend going to Nexus Mods and making sure that the mods are compatible with patch 7, some are not updated for patch 7. If none of that works I still have a few ideas to try and help you out.

I'm not using any 3rd party mods rn and idk when I'll try again if I do. I'm not very versed in stuff like this and I'm too worried about breaking something if I mess with game files. I've been using UI patch seven and updated every mod I had and deactivated the ones that weren't for patch 7, but for me, it wouldn't even let me play a new save with any of the updated mods I had. Some jag in this threads saying 3rd parties are fine but I'm not having that luck.

How about instead of being a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ you actually try to be helpful in a discussion where someone needs help? You're talking about how you know what you're doing right? Why not show it instead of being useless in the thread?
I dont use the ingame mod manager, so Im not entirely sure how it works, I use Baldurs gate 3 mod manager, it works for me pretty well.
Completely ignore the in game manager, BG3MM is superior.

Uninstall everything along with deleting every folder, including those in your appdata. Reinstall the game. Then slowly start adding your mods back, and test your game. Ignore the 3rd party mod warnings.

It does work, just takes a little work getting everything set up again. I use around 400 mods, only a few of them are broken. Many didn’t need to be updated for patch 7.

Half of my mods are third party mods and only had problems with maybe 4, 3 of them were already fixed by their creators

Just delete the modlist file from pre-patch, update MG3MM, BG3SE and any mod that have an update on nexus and that is it
