WARNING Difficulty mods to increase HP for enemies are not worth it.
I used a 100% hp increase mod for my last playthrough. This made the game less unenjoyble because it made combat a slog.

I noticed that spells that do damage where also made way less powerful compared to control spells and just not worth casting eg fireball and lightning bolt ect. Single target damage spells still where good if you had an EVO wizard.

The enemy AI is the problem. The AI does not focus target your party members individually and they AIso use bad spells against you. Plus the AI does very little damage most of the time.

Larian has dumbed the AI down.

OK?

These are to balance out the broken mods, like extra party members. I am gonna run with a party of 10, so I got me a 150% version. Don't think you should use it for an otherwise vanilla playthrough.

There is a mod on nexus called Combat extender, it has an optional addon called Cx AI which does what you want (focus fire, kill mages first, ignore summons, finish off dying).

You use mods to make the game less enjoyable for you. You have no rights to complain about Larian Studios who gave you freedom to do that.

"Kill mages first" is so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ funny to me.

Everyone who goes on a solo run uses a martial class (likely multiclass). NOBODY goes for casters. Why? Because martials are FAR more dangerous than casters.

Sure, casters can cast a spell that occasionally disables a single enemy, maybe even a handful of enemies, provided they don't all immediately succeed in their saving throws during their turn. Meanwhile, martials can just wipe out that handful of enemies and then some before their turn is over - no saving throws needed.

Perhaps don't play on story mode, if you want to actually want be challenged?

E: Threads like these are making breaks at works so much more enjoyable.

Played on honour mode with 100% health increase mod with only 2 party members.

But of course you new that and you have an agenda

How would anyone know that? It's not in your OP, it's not in any post you made in this thread, this is the first time you're mentioning it.

That should be interesting: What agenda, exactly? I've been quite public that I'm on neither camp. Both are equally idiotic in their own way. Though, the right-wingers more so than the other for obvious reasons. :lunar2019grinningpig:

Everyone knew what you wanted people to know but kept the difficulty option to yourself - almost deliberately - and now you're accusing me of "having an agenda"?

I didn't know I was talking to a 12 y.o., excuse me.

E: Welp. Guess I took too long to text. I am getting old, it would seem.

Fair. The mod also has settings that makes enemies hit harder, higher AC, etc. So you can customize your own difficulty, and tune down the damage output of martial classes a bit.

You can also add spells and passives to certain types of enemies, and for example have them cast more dangerous stuff like dominate, disintegrate, whatever.
